Lian's Fire Blast move displayed immense terror, completely overwhelming and suppressing the Genesects. From the moment he unleashed it, the outcome was sealed; no Genesect could withstand such a devastating Fire Blast.
As Lian observed this fiery spectacle, he knew that today marked the end for the Dark Guild. The Genesects were their greatest reliance, but with his Fire Blast, all hopes were shattered.
Lian had no particular agenda against the Dark Guild; eliminating them wasn't essential to him. To him, these Genesects were merely experience points waiting to be claimed.
With Genesects collapsing one after another, Kentra, hovering high above, turned pale-faced, realizing the Dark Guild had lost this battle.
Initially, they stood a chance, but no one anticipated the appearance of Charizard unleashing such a terrifying Fire Blast. It swiftly decimated numerous Genesects. At least two-thirds of them, caught in the blast's inferno, either lost their combat ability or sustained severe injuries.
The remaining Genesects, positioned farther away and shielded by their comrades from the flames, escaped significant harm.
"It's over," Kentra muttered despairingly. Only fewer than twenty Genesects still had combat capability left.
Despite their formidable strength, with only twenty remaining, they were powerless against the vast number of flying type Pokémon in the sky. The defeat of the Dark Guild was now inevitable.
Lian swiftly descended, determined not to let any of the surviving Genesects escape, seizing this rare opportunity.
The Trainers aloft were taken aback, astonished by such a drastic turn of events, witnessing numerous Genesects losing their fighting ability instantaneously.
"Where did that Charizard come from?"
"That's insanely powerful!"
The mid-level trainers, initially shocked by Lian's display, quickly overcame their fear and joined the battle.
As the conflict neared its end, the remaining Genesects could not withstand the overwhelming assault from multiple Pokémon and were effortlessly defeated.
Lian felt slightly irritated; these trainers, who had been hiding earlier, rushed in now, trying to steal the finishing blows.
Lian decided to stop fighting and soared into the sky, searching for Kalia's location, ready to leave. This battle had been quite fruitful, as he single-handedly took down around forty to fifty Genesects.
Equivalent to defeating that many legendary Pokémon, the experience gained would undoubtedly be substantial, potentially even enough to increase his level directly by one.
As Lian searched for Kalia, Kentra, battling Rhea in the sky, had given up resistance, his face reflecting deep despair.
He initially believed capturing hostages could avoid today's confrontation, but unforeseen circumstances forced the battle to ensue, contrary to his plans.
With combat inevitable, Kentra had no choice but to fight with all his might. Fortunately, the Genesects proved formidable, holding their own against multiple opponents, continuously eliminating airborne Pokémon and causing mid-level trainers to retreat.
Kentra felt elated at this turn of events, seeing victory inching closer. However, the sudden appearance of Charizard shattered his last hopes mercilessly.
As each Genesect fell one by one, Kentra realized there was no point in further resistance. He knew today marked the end of the Dark Guild.
Without their Genesects, the Dark Guild became vulnerable lambs, easily at the mercy of others. The Ellie Region would undoubtedly not spare them, leading to inevitable capture.
Furthermore, control over these Genesects might also be seized by the Ellie Region. Although the Genesects obeyed his commands, it was solely due to programming during their resurrection and modifications by the Scientist.
Essentially, these Genesects were akin to his own Pokémon. However, once he is captured, the Scientist cannot escape either, as all secrets regarding the Genesect modifications and other Dark Guild information would be revealed to the Ellie Region.
At this moment, notifying the Scientist to destroy all data was impossible. Kentra had initially planned to avoid combat, so even now, the Scientist continued relentlessly modifying Genesects without interruption.
"I surrender," Kentra declared, unwilling to continue fighting. He felt utterly hopeless, perhaps indicating that fate itself did not favor the continuation of the Dark Guild.
Seeing the despair in Kentra's eyes, Rhea halted the battle, realizing that Kentra had lost his will to fight and was ready to surrender.
Rhea felt somewhat melancholic, not expecting the Dark Guild to be defeated so swiftly. He initially anticipated a prolonged struggle with uncertain outcomes.
Soon, all the Genesects were neutralized, marking the end of the battle. The remaining Dark Guild members stood dejectedly, their faces filled with hopelessness.
Lian searched for Kalia and spotted her standing on the balcony of the ninety-ninth floor, observing the combat closely.
As she noticed Lian approaching, she smiled warmly, "Well done, Charizard." With Charizard's decisive move, the fate of the Dark Guild was sealed, leaving them without any chance of revival.
Unsurprisingly, from this day forward, the Dark Guild would likely vanish completely, as even their guild master, Kentra, faced imminent capture.
During their previous escape, despite the fall of the Dark Guild, there remained a possibility for resurgence. Indeed, it proved true when they reestablished themselves in the Ellie Region.
With all remaining Dark Guild members gathered here, their defeat would signify the complete end of the organization.
Shortly after, Ninetales and Blaziken returned as well. Kalia recalled them into Poké Balls, now that it was safe and no longer required Pokemon protection.
"Let's go," said Kalia.
Lian suddenly remembered something: Kentra from the Dark Guild should possess a Dreams Device, otherwise, he wouldn't be able to enter the Dream World.
However, the Dreams Device is immovable, so when the previous Dark Guild base was dismantled, the Dreams Device remained while the Lunar Feather disappeared, likely taken by Kentra with him.
Lian hoped for Kalia to visit the Dream World again; it wasn't feasible to keep Zapdos trapped there indefinitely.
With this thought, Lian abruptly turned back, estimating that Kentra must have carried the Lunar Feather on his person. Such a crucial item couldn't be casually left behind anywhere.
He swiftly flew back up to the rooftop, heading straight towards Kentra. As Lian landed in front of him, Kentra, having already given up resistance, was momentarily startled by the sudden appearance of a Charizard.
