Rong Yan glanced at him, thinking about the big meal he mentioned for dinner, and then remembered that today was their first day of getting their marriage license.
She said, "I get off work at half-past four, you don't need to pick me up, I'll go home by myself."
Qin Ye immediately responded, "I'll still come pick you up! I like picking you up after work."
Since he insisted, Rong Yan did not object.
"That's fine." It wasn't a big deal anyway.
Qin Ye was very pleased.
"Wife, you should go up now! I won't walk you upstairs."
Rong Yan hadn't planned to have him walk her up anyway.
"Okay, just drive safely when you go back."
Her caring words made Qin Ye especially happy.
"Alright!"
Rong Yan got out of the car, and Qin Ye waited for her to get out before he drove off.
As he prepared to head home, his phone rang.
He glanced at the caller ID and saw it was his grandfather.
He answered using Bluetooth, "Grandpa, what's up?"
