Sung Jae was kidnapped by an unknown man, Sung Jae was blind folded, then he suddenly hears a voice out of nowhere, but he was clueless because he can't see anything. The man said "Hyun Sik, I know you love your uncle more than anything, do you still want to see your uncle alive? You just need to kill the king for me, and I will not touch your uncle". Sung Jae was then released, and he was found unconscious in their front of house. His uncle "Hyun Sik, are you okay? did someone hurt you? where did you go?" Sung Jae answered "I'm okay uncle, don't worry"
The next day, Sung Jae was still thinking about what the man said, he doesn't want to hurt the king because he was nice to him, but he does not have a choice. The next day Sung Jae was assigned to make food for the king, Sung Jae is still thinking about what the man had said to him. He decided to put poison to the food and deliver it to the king for his uncle's sake. While he was holding the tray of food, he was shaking nervously, the empress noticed his weird behavior. The empress called and stopped him from delivering the food to the king, the empress "You peasant why are you shaking nonstop, are you planning something bad? You are not trying to kill his majesty, am I right?" Sung Jae was so nervous and scared that he cannot even spit a word, as the empress shouting the king walk towards Sung Jae and eat the food, after a minute the king was out of breath and can't stand properly and he lost consciousness.
Sung Jae was brought in the palace jail and where he will get torture. The empress said, "That will be the last time you will see the king, you will probably die in here without him knowing".
