Chapter 116 - Chapter 113:- First Batch

Go Gun-hee sat in his office in Seoul. His hands shook as he held the phone. Reports kept coming in. More hunters dead. More villages gone. The villa horror. He took a deep breath. His face was pale. Sweat beaded on his forehead. Fear gripped his heart like ice. Anger burned too. But he had no choice now.

He picked up the phone. "Call an emergency meeting," he said to his aide. Voice firm but tired. "All hunters. From E-rank to S-rank. Now. In the main hall."

The aide nodded fast. "Yes, sir." He ran out. Alarms sounded in the building. Hunters got texts and calls. "Report to headquarters. Urgent."

In minutes, the main hall filled. Hunters stood in rows. E-ranks at the back—new and scared. A-ranks in the middle—strong but worried. S-ranks up front—faces hard. Go Gun-hee walked to the podium. His steps were heavy.

He felt the weight of Korea on his shoulders. Eyes scanned the room. He saw Cha Hae-in, her sword at her side, eyes sharp but concerned. Baek Yoon-ho stood tall, arms crossed, anger in his eyes.

Choi Jong-in looked ready, fire mana flickering in his hands. Lim Tae-gyu held his bow tight, regret from past failed raids showing. Min Byung-gyu, the healer, shifted uneasy. Eunseok clenched his fists.

Go cleared his throat. The room went silent. "Hunters," he said. Voice loud but shaking a little. "Jeju Island is lost. The ants are not normal anymore. They have mutated. They are growing stronger with every kill. Our teams go in. They die. The ants have created tunnels everywhere under Jeju island.

Ants aren't hiding anymore they have taken an aggressive stance and are pushing our frontlines back, slaughtering everyone that tries to resist and eating them up. Using them as food and adapting to our skills."

He paused. Breathed deep. Feeling sadness for the dead. "But it's getting even worse. The ants are now capturing women. Mature ones were taken first—mothers, strong and healthy.

After that, the young girls too were taken, those between 18 to 25. They carry them to a villa on the eastern hills. Haeundae Haven. It's their base now. Blocked gates. Patrolled by ants. The women are bound in silk. Used as... incubators. Forced to breed ant offsprings"

Gasps filled the room. Hunters' faces turned white. Cha Hae-in's eyes widened in shock. Several female hunters in the crowd—a mix of A and B ranks—clutched their weapons tighter, their faces paling as the words sank in.

One A-rank woman, named Ji-eun, felt a wave of nausea hit her; her hands trembled as she imagined it happening to her or her sisters, reduced to nothing but breeding tools just because they had wombs and were women.

"No," she whispered to herself, horror twisting her gut, tears pricking her eyes at the thought of their fellow countrywomen degraded like that, stripped of dignity for no reason other than their bodies.

Another female hunter nearby, a B-rank healer, covered her mouth, shock and rage boiling inside her—she felt a deep, burning anger at the injustice, vowing silently to make the ants pay for treating women as mere vessels.

"They're implanting eggs in their wombs. Their bodies are swelling with ants' eggs. And to break them—they lured the husbands. Fathers. Lovers. With fake cries. Men who came to save them. Ants killed their husbands right in front of their eyes.

In front of the women their loved ones were dismembered alive. Screams of their loved ones being torn apart and eaten right in front of their eyes, unable to do anything at all."

A hunter in the back—a young E-rank—threw up. Others murmured. Fear spread like fire. Baek Yoon-ho punched his palm. "Bastards," he growled. Anger boiled in him. Choi Jong-in's face twisted in disgust. "We have to stop this," he said slowly.

Go nodded. His eyes teared a bit. He wiped them quickly as he felt helpless rage. "Hunters die too. Our teams near Jeju—gone. Eaten. Mutated ants are growing stronger by the day.

And eggs... they're gonna be hatching soon. We don't know what comes out. Abominations. Hybrids maybe. Smarter. Deadlier. If we don't stop now, they will spread. To the mainland. To Seoul. To our homes.

Reports have it that they are searching for someone, but we don't know that person's identity. Why are they searching for him? Is he a friend or foe? We have no idea at all."

The room tensed. Hearts pounded. Sweat dripped. A A-rank woman hunter clenched her fists. Fear for her own safety hit hard. "It's a race against time," Go said. Voice urgent.

"Before those eggs hatch. Before more women suffer. Before it reaches us. We mobilize all. E-rank to S. Full gear. Planes ready. S and A ranks first—lead the charge. Clear paths. Save who you can. Kill the Queen."

He looked at the S-ranks. "Cha Hae-in, Baek Yoon-ho, Choi Jong-in, Lim Tae-gyu, Min Byung-gyu, Eunseok—you go now. Planes wait. Rest will follow behind in waves." They nodded. Faces set. Determination mixed with fear. Cha felt a chill. "For Korea," she said quietly. They moved out fast. Actions quick. Grabbed weapons. Boarded vans to the airport.

As teams formed outside, hunters were grouped carefully. Balanced squads. Each had one or two S-ranks as leaders. A and B-ranks as main fighters. C and D-ranks as backups. E-ranks as support—carrying supplies, healing minor wounds, watching flanks.

No babysitting for S-ranks—they focused on big threats. Making sure at the same time not to leave E-ranks alone—they stayed protected away from the battlefield. "Stay close," an A-rank told an E-group. "You guys will assist us. Heal. Scout safe. We'll cover you." E-ranks nodded, feeling safer but still scared.

Lower ranks waited tense. An E-rank boy shook. "I don't want to die," he whispered to a friend. The friend patted his back. "We have to. For our families." Emotions high. Fear. Bravery. Urgency like a clock ticking.

Planes took off. S and A ranks flew first. Hearts raced. "Before the hatch," Choi said on the plane. Voice hard. "End it quickly." They landed on Jeju amid smoke. Screams far off. The fight started right away.

On the ground in mainland Korea preparing to move to Jeju, Cha Hae-in's team gathered at the military airfield near Seoul. Planes waited on the runway, engines humming low.

Smoke from distant fires wasn't here yet—this was still safe ground. But tension filled the air thick. The team stood in a tight circle, maps spread on a crate.

Cha Hae-in led with her sword sheathed but hand ready. Her eyes scanned the group. A mix: four A-ranks fighting close to her, six C and D-ranks in the core for support, eight E-ranks at the edges with supplies—healing potions, mana drinks, extra weapons.

One E-rank hunter caught her eye—Samuel, new to the ranks, listed as E but moving with strange confidence. He carried a basic sword, but something about him stood out. Calm eyes. Steady stance. Like he knew more than he showed.

Cha cleared her throat. "Listen up," she said. Voice clear and strong. "We land on Jeju's north coast. Smoke everywhere. Ants are fast and mutated. We push inland to the villa—Haeundae Haven. Save the women. Kill the Queen if we can. No casualties. We work fast, we work smart."

She pointed at the map. "A-ranks with me—front line. You four: Park, Kim, Lee, Jung. Park, your shield skill covers us from plasma. Kim, lightning strikes for groups. Lee, speed boosts for quick hits. Jung, earth walls to block tunnels. We clear the path."

The A-ranks nodded. Park flexed his arms. "Got it, Hae-in. Shields up first." Kim cracked knuckles. "I'll fry them." Lee smiled tight. "Fast as wind." Jung tapped the ground. "Walls ready."

Cha turned to C and D-ranks. "You six—center. Watch flanks. Heal quickly. Mana support. Don't rush forward. Stay in the protective range." A C-rank healer, a woman named Soo-jin, nodded seriously. "We'll keep everyone standing." A D-rank archer added, "Arrows from a safe spot."

Then E-ranks. "You eight—rear and supplies. Carry potions. Pass them fast. Scout safe paths. No need to act like a hero now. You're going to be our lifeline to supplies." An E-rank boy swallowed hard. "Yes, ma'am." I stood quiet among them, listening carefully.

Cha looked at everyone. "Tell me your best skills. We use them right. No waste. No deaths."

One by one, they spoke quick.

A-rank Park: "Defense shields. Block big hits."

Kim: "Chain lightning. Hits many ants."

Lee: "Speed buff. Make the team faster."

Jung: "Earth control. Trap ants in the ground."

C-rank healer Soo-jin: "Group heal. Fast recovery."

D-rank tank Han: "Taunt skill. Pull ants to me."

E-rank supporter Min: "Mana transfer. Give extra to fighters."

I spoke last, voice calm. "Close combat. Good at reading moves. I can cover the gaps."

Cha nodded at him. Feeling a strange pull again. But focused. "Good. Samuel, stay near the center. Cover healers if ants break through."

The team felt tighter now. Roles clear. Trust building. "We push behind ants," Cha said. "Flank them. Save women from the villa. They're... suffering badly. Used as incubators. We get them out alive." Her voice hardened. Eyes showed anger for the women. Others nodded. Same fire in them.

"Board planes," Cha ordered. "Land together. Move as one. No one left behind."

They moved fast. Gear checked. Hands shook a little—fear real. But the plan is solid. Balanced. Ready.

As they walked to the plane, Cha got close to Samuel for a moment. A scent hit her—clean, fresh, almost addictive. Like forest after rain, mixed with something warm. It smelled so good, like nothing she knew. Her heart skipped.

Cheeks warmed a bit. She wanted to ask: What is that smell? Where does it come from? Cologne? Skill? But planes roared. The team waited. This wasn't the time. "Focus," she told herself, pushing it away. But the curiosity lingered strong.

She nodded at him. "Stay sharp, Samuel." Remembering Samuel's name subconsciously. I nodded back, my face calm. "Yes, ma'am."

The team boarded. Engines loud. Hearts raced. Jeju waited. Time is short. They flew toward horror—together. Balanced. Protected.

In America, Director Jay Mills got Mike's full report. His office was tense. The staff waited. "The ants breed hybrids," Mills said. Voice low. Shock still fresh. "Women used as incubators. The eggs are going to hatch soon in their bodies. Probably we should expect some abominations incoming. Korea begs for our help now."

He paced. Felt fear spread to U.S. shores. "We can't wait. Full teams go. Team Alpha—join as soon as planes land. Hit the villa first. Save women. Kill hybrids before the eggs hatch. It's a race against time.

If they aren't contained they might spread, our cities might be next." Staff nodded. Worry in eyes. "Planes ready," one said. Hunters boarded fast. Emotions ran high—anger at horror, fear for home. "End this," Mills ordered. Planes flew. Urgency burned.

In India, Ravi Singh got Priya's update. His heart sank more. "Hybrids hatching," he said to his team. Face grim. Anger and fear mixed. "Abominations. We must stop before they grow. Before it spread to us."

He shouted orders. "Full force. Men lead. Make sure no women are near the frontlines. All of our women will be helpers only—staying at a safe spot. Dealing with intel and supplies." A woman hunter spoke up.

"But sir—" Ravi shook head. "No. I won't risk it. You guys' dignity comes first to me. We will help Korea—but above that protect our own people. Buckle up guys, it's a race against time.

Eggs can hatch anytime. Our homes are gonna be next if we fail, cause by the time Korea is finished, I fear the ants would be strong enough to destroy any country once those eggs hatch."

The team nodded. All of them felt tension. Planes loaded, flying quickly. Hearts pounded. "For humanity," Ravi said. But thought of India's women safe first.

In China, Liu Zhigang heard from Wang. "Dangerous hybrids are gonna be coming into this world soon," he said. Alarm high. "Stop now. Before they cross the sea to us. If we need to eliminate all the captured females in one go, we can't let anyone breeded by those ants or contaminated to run wild." He felt no sadness for Korea. Just cold fear for China.

"Teams go all in," he ordered. Voice hard. "Secure Jeju. Kill Queen. Burn villa along with those women. Save nothing if needed. Race against hatch. Abominations can't live no matter what the cost.

Since the victims aren't our citizens, we don't need to feel anything about taking things to the extreme if required." Hunters moved fast. Planes took off. Emotions: eagerness to win, fear of loss. "For China," they chanted. Urgency in the air like fire.

In Japan, Matsumoto got Tanaka's call. "Hatching is imminent, we don't know the well-being of those women captured." he said. Regret burned. "We fix this. Now. Do as much as we can to solve this problem."

"Strike hard," he told the teams. "S-ranks lead. Hit villa. End breeding. Before those abominations start walking on the path of destruction. Spread to us? No."

Pride drove him. Shame fueling his drive. Planes flew faster. Hunters gripped weapons. Tension thick. "For honor," they said. But all of them felt like they were racing against time. Horror too deep.

In Europe, Union leaders heard Karl. "Eggs will be hatching soon," Hans said. Worry creased faces. "Ants are looking for something, and they are growing to be more and more dangerous by the passing minute and they need to be eliminated and halted in Jeju before they become a world level threat."

"Act immediately," Marie ordered. "Mixed teams. Join on land. Clear villa. Save women if you can, if you can't eliminate them. But no matter what happens, stop those ants from breeding or evolving any further. To our lands."

John nodded. "United, we'll win and get out of this. It's a race against time." Teams formed quickly. Planes left. Hunters felt sympathy but strategy. Fear of global horror. Actions swift. Emotions high—urgency, determination.

All over, planes crossed skies. Toward Jeju. Tension built. Time ticked. Hatch neared. The world held its breath.
