Chapter 501 - Adding a New Family Member for Illya

[Transitioning to Shin}

After leaving the mission world, Shin woke up from his dream.

He opened his eyes and glanced at the window in his room—it was still pitch black outside. After all, he hadn't spent much time in the mission world this time.

Originally, Shin could have spent a few more hours visiting another mission world and waited until dawn to wake up.

Whether it was checking if the Hero Association in One Punch Man had tracked down Garou's whereabouts or continuing his training in the Dragon Ball world to boost his combat power, both were viable options.

However, he had just made a big promise to Sitonai in the mission world—to let her meet Irisviel. That meant Shin had to take care of it in the real world first.

To avoid complications, he decided to temporarily forgo visiting other mission worlds and focus on fulfilling his promise to Sitonai.

After all, there were no more anti-addiction time restrictions now. Shin could enter mission worlds anytime without worrying about wasted opportunities.

Moreover, since King's Army had already connected several worlds, he could access them without relying on the system's mission selection interface. There was no need to rush.

"First, I need to integrate this house into King's Army."

Shin gently moved aside the delicate limbs of the girls draped over him and quietly slipped out of bed without disturbing the others. He made his way to the courtyard.

That's right—the method to let Sitonai meet Irisviel was simple. He just had to make this mansion part of King's Army.

Despite Shin practically using King's Army like a teleportation gate, its original form was a Reality Marble. He could pull anyone into King's Army by eroding reality.

In other words, if Shin wanted, he could instantly drag anyone to Planet Vegeta, the Hero Association headquarters, or a fortress and have them face an army of Saiyans, heroes, or security forces.

Of course, Shin hadn't used this function yet—mainly because he hadn't encountered an opponent who required overwhelming numbers.

Besides, if even he couldn't defeat someone, summoning all the Saiyans probably wouldn't help. After all, Shin's current strength was enough to take on every Saiyan single-handedly.

Well… except Broly, who was still exiled. That guy was a freak—after training in isolation, he could hold his own against Super Saiyan God.

Shin had previously ordered the Saiyans to search for Broly based on King Vegeta's old exile records. He wasn't sure if they'd found him yet.

Lost in thought, Shin seamlessly integrated the mansion into King's Army—without any resistance.

This house was his property, after all, and the people inside were essentially his—even if not in name, their hearts already belonged to him.

Thus, the weakest territory in King's Army was born. But for Sitonai from the Fate/Stay Night world, this place was incredibly important.

Once Shin returned to the mission world and used King's Army to pull Sitonai into this mansion, she could finally meet Irisviel.

He could even arrange a meeting between Sitonai and Illya—two versions of Illya from entirely different parallel worlds. Their encounter would likely spark quite a reaction.

"Papa?"

Just as Shin was considering whether to return to the Fate/Stay Night mission world right away to bring Sitonai over, a drowsy voice called out from behind.

Turning around, he saw Illya in her pajamas standing at the edge of the corridor, rubbing her sleepy eyes. She had clearly just woken up.

"Oh—Illya, you're up so early?"

Shin almost blurted out "Sitonai"—but caught himself at the last moment and corrected it to her real name.

To distinguish between the magical girl Illya of this world and the Illya who had become a Servant in Fate/Stay Night, Shin mentally (and verbally) referred to the latter as "Sitonai."

Having just spent time talking with Sitonai, his mind hadn't fully adjusted, and he nearly called the Illya of this world by her Servant name.

Luckily, Illya didn't seem to notice the slip—she was still half-asleep and not fully alert.

"I got up to use the bathroom… It's still early before school."

Indeed, it was only around 4 a.m., with over three hours left before waking time. The Illya of this world was still an 11-year-old child, and sleep was important for her.

Of course, Fate/Stay Night's Sitonai was even more extreme—due to the limitations of the Lesser Grail's functions, she needed 12 hours of sleep daily, spending half her time in a dormant state.

"Papa."

Illya walked up to Shin and reached out her arms—her drowsy state made it seem like an instinctive gesture.

Understanding, Shin smiled helplessly and picked her up.

Snuggled in his arms, Illya wore a content expression. It seemed that, just as Irisviel had said, Illya truly longed for the "paternal love" she had never experienced before.

"Papa is always busy outside… I still feel a little lonely."

Resting her head on Shin's shoulder, Illya spoke in a sweet, puppy-like tone.

"Everyone else at home is nice too… but it still feels like something's missing."

Shin could understand her feelings—after all, the others weren't particularly close to Illya.

In this household, the only ones who could truly be called her family were Irisviel and Shin—and even Shin was a "new family member" introduced by the Holy Grail system's adjustments.

But judging by Illya's behavior, she had quickly accepted Shin as her father and treated him as real family.

"..."

Hearing her words, Shin couldn't help but chuckle.

"In that case, how about having an older sister?"

The "older sister" he referred to was, of course, Sitonai—though her core identity was still Illya, Sitonai's physical age was older.

The magical girl Illya was genuinely 11 years old, while Fate/Stay Night's Illya was 17. Their timelines were different.

"Huh? An older sister?"

Illya looked surprised, tilting her head in confusion.

"Shouldn't the one born later be the younger sister?"

Clearly, her first thought wasn't quite on the right track—she seemed to think Shin and Irisviel were planning to "make" a new family member for her…

To be continued…
