The purge of the Hero Association's upper echelons proceeded with far greater efficiency than Zuke had anticipated.
Because Zuke was now the Hero Association's "King," under the ability of his "King's Army," every one of his commands was executed immediately.
Thus, when Zuke contacted the Hero Association's executives, ordering them to immediately drop whatever they were doing and come to the Hero Association's conference room, they had no choice but to obediently comply.
It was worth noting that even an S-Class hero like Tatsumaki couldn't make them move immediately—but Zuke's orders were mandatory. No matter how unwilling they were, they had to rush over immediately. Zuke even overheard what sounded like a woman's voice in the background during one executive's call... clearly, they weren't engaged in proper business.
These Hero Association executives probably had no idea what they were about to face. So, when they arrived, their faces still bore expressions of displeasure at being summoned. They likely assumed Zuke was like Tatsumaki—that to ensure the Hero Association's operations wouldn't collapse, he wouldn't actually move to eliminate them.
However, they soon realized they were mistaken.
Once all the Hero Association executives had gathered in the conference room, Zuke very calmly brought in another group of people from outside.
This was a group not belonging to the Hero Association—they wore clearly specially-made armored suits and carried weapons never seen before.
Before the Hero Association executives could even react, these members of the Security Force Police swarmed in and began eliminating the Association's high-ranking officials.
The Security Force Police, possessing technology from multiple dimensions, had a remarkably high technological level. Their weapons could truly achieve harmless disposal, completely decomposing those struck without leaving even a trace.
"Those weapons are equipped with time technology from the 'Time Thieves,' capable of reversing the components of a person, turning them directly into the most basic particles."
Leading the team this time was also Zuke's acquaintance, Sayomaru, who had changed into a lighter, more streamlined outfit.
Earlier, when Zuke went to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Stories Chronicles World and asked at the bridgehead who was willing to come with him, Sayomaru was almost the first to raise her hand. So, Zuke brought Sayomaru along—although Sayomaru was still a new officer within the Security Force Police, she could at least be of help to Zuke.
"Time Thief technology, huh."
Hearing this, Zuke watched as the Hero Association executives were directly decomposed and nodded—at least this way, the conference room wouldn't be covered in blood. Not bad.
The so-called "Time Thieves" were also a faction within the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Chronicle lore, possessing technology that allowed time travel.
While apprehending the "Time Thieves," the Security Force Police had also absorbed a great deal of their technology, consequently developing many new things.
Zuke had previously considered whether to find an opportunity to acquire the Time Thieves' technology himself...... It seemed now that the Security Force Police already possessed the relevant tech.
Soon, under the supervision of Zuke and Sayomaru, the Security Force Police members completely cleared out the Hero Association executives from the conference room.
"Reporting to Captain Sayomaru, Lord Zuke! All targets have been eliminated! What are your further orders?!"
Soon, a fully armed Security Force Police member came before Zuke and Sayomaru, saluting and reporting to them.
"Next, have the Security Force Police technicians come in and take over the Hero Association."
Zuke nodded, looking at Sayomaru beside him—the members she brought from the Security Force Police weren't just combat personnel; she had also brought some technicians.
Those individuals were elite talents recruited by the Security Force Police; managing a single Hero Association would surely be more than sufficient for them.
Furthermore, to avoid collateral damage, Zuke had specifically not summoned the few useful executives like Sitch during this gathering.
Now it was time to call them over, inform them that the Hero Association's leadership had been completely replaced, and have them cooperate with the Security Force Police personnel in managing the Hero Association.
"It seems everything is settled."
In a park near the Hero Association headquarters building, Tatsumaki looked up towards the top of the building and nodded with satisfaction.
She looked at Child Emperor, who was operating a laptop in front of her, and said with a smile:
"You can lift the signal jamming in this area now."
That's right. While Zuke was leading the Security Force Police members in purging the Hero Association executives, Tatsumaki had also strong-armed Child Emperor into coming and demanded he jam the signals in this area.
This was to prevent any of the Hero Association executives from sending distress signals to other heroes.
Even if a distress signal had been sent out, it wouldn't have affected Zuke's actions, but Tatsumaki still didn't want anyone disturbing him. After all, if some hero, unaware of the true situation, came rushing to the rescue and ended up being eliminated by Zuke, it would still be a bit of a pity.
"I see......"
Child Emperor forced a wry smile, his fingers tapping on the keyboard. Soon, the signal jamming in the area was disabled.
He also knew the former Hero Association executives were probably doomed, and the Association's management would likely change completely from now on.
However, Child Emperor had no objections to this, as the original Hero Association executives were truly no good, often secretly pulling shady stunts.
"Alright, you're dismissed. I'm going to ask Zuke for my reward."
"Not bad."
Having exhausted Child Emperor's usefulness, Tatsumaki paid him no further mind. Using her telekinesis, she flew up towards the Hero Association headquarters building, her mood seeming excellent.
Although Child Emperor was the one who performed the signal jamming, and it wasn't a big deal anyway, Tatsumaki was already prepared to use it to claim credit.
"I was the one who did the work, wasn't I?"
Hearing Tatsumaki's words, Child Emperor closed his laptop helplessly and complained to her retreating figure.
"Shouldn't the reward go to me?"
"The reward Zuke gives me is very special. You wouldn't have a chance to get that kind of reward from him."
Tatsumaki also heard Child Emperor's complaint. She looked down at him and gave a silent, mocking smile—clearly, Child Emperor had no idea what the "reward" she mentioned actually entailed.
"You'll understand when you grow up, little brat."
After saying that, Tatsumaki flew off in Zuke's direction, leaving a confused Child Emperor in the park.
Despite his high IQ, he was still a 10-year-old child. His understanding of the... interests between adults was still somewhat lacking.
To be continued…
