In the Biyou Palace, King Li of Heaven announced the decree of the Jade Emperor the Great Heavenly Venerate, which stated that the Great Heavenly Venerate appreciated Chen Shi for spreading the Dharma throughout the world and contributing to the Immortal Gods society. Hence, Chen Shi was conferred the title of Supreme Sage and Dharma Transmission Ancestor.
Chen Shi accepted the decree, expressed his gratitude to the Great Heavenly Venerate, and placed the decree beside the axe.
King Li of Heaven also brought a plaque handwritten by the Jade Emperor, which Chen Shi hung in the main hall of the inner palace of Biyou Palace.
The two left the main hall.
King Li of Heaven laughed and said, "Heavenly King Chen... now I can no longer call you Heavenly King Chen; I must call you Mr. Chen. Mr. Chen, I may have offended you in the past, please forgive me. In the future, as I cultivate the Primordial Talisman, I will have to respectfully call you Ancestor!"
