Vibrant, dazzling lights swirled and shifted rapidly, like paint spreading slowly in water, dizzying to behold.
It was as if a machine had rebooted; a long-stagnant brain began to function again. Gradually, all the colors gained meaning and formed shapes.
Was this... an inn?
"I" hesitated, unconsciously tightening my grip on a slender, elongated crimson spear, slowly descending toward the ground.
Time seemed to have slowed down countless times. "I" descended so slowly that "I" could clearly see the entire inn was in ruins, with bricks, tiles, and melted wax scattered all over the ground.
In the center of the inn were two blurred figures enveloped in a storm. Around the edges of the battlefield, many people knelt—forced to uphold barriers against the fierce winds mixed with a multitude of sand and gravel particles.
Some of these people looked strikingly familiar, and "I" retrieved some memories through their appearances.
