"Why not call the police?"
After finishing his call, Xu Jian found Jiang Xiaobai and asked with confusion.
"I'm afraid that kid did it. These computers are worth a lot. If it really was him and we report it, once it's found out, he'll go to jail."
Ning Xiaofeng was, after all, Xiaoqian's younger brother. Out of respect for Xiaoqian, Jiang Xiaobai wouldn't send Ning Xiaofeng to jail. A place like prison is full of bad people; spending a few years there might not be rehabilitative—it could even make him worse.
Entering prison would leave a stain on a person's record that follows them for life. Even after release, people would look at them with a bias because they served time.
"So many computers, how could he have moved them all by himself?" Xu Jian asked, "Jiang, as far as I know, he just came to the city. He shouldn't have any friends here, right?"
