"How did it go?"
After finishing the phone call, Jiang Xiaobai immediately asked Jia Yunchao for the result.
"Did Guo Junkai's agent agree to meet us?"
Jia Yunchao shook his head gravely.
"They said they're really busy and don't have time. They'll leave right after the performance ends."
Jiang Xiaobai said, "You know him, though, right? He won't even give you this little bit of face?"
Jia Yunchao said, "You're too naive. Mr. Jiang, this industry is all about interests. I'm no longer the top producer I used to be; I left this circle years ago. It's reasonable he doesn't care about my face."
Jiang Xiaobai, unable to sit still, stood up and paced around the office.
"No way! We must meet him, whatever it takes. If the regular methods don't work, we'll have to try something unconventional."
Jia Yunchao frowned at his new boss and asked, "What do you mean by unconventional? What are you planning to do?"
