Rain sat beside Damien. He gently stroked his golden fur.
What if he had simply allowed Damien tell everyone the truth? Would something like this have happened?
Rain had told Rita not to blame herself but it was easier said than done.
He blamed himself for all this, it was his fault, he just hoped Damien woke up. He wouldn't forgive himself if something happened to Damien.
He touched his lips as he remembered the kiss. He could still remember the shock he felt when Damien had kissed him.
Rain had known he was attracted to Damien when he was fifteen and since then he had done all he could to get rid of these feelings, but it hadn't worked.
He had even picked fights with Damien, intentionally provoking him so he could snap and Rain would forget the feelings but it also hadn't worked.
If Damien wanted nothing to do with him, he would accept it. That kiss was already enough for him.
He just needed him to wake up.
