In Original Heaven, at the shore of the Observation Lake.
Kael was hovering a few inches above the ground, wearing a satisfied smile.
Daniella looked at him questioningly.
"What are you smiling about? Are you laughing at me?" Daniella asked.
The smile on Kael's face was wiped off almost instantly.
"Something I had lost has finally been found, everything is fine," Kael said.
Daniella noticed that Kael seemed a bit more relaxed, as if he had just cheated on an exam and passed without getting caught.
"Oh, what is it?" Daniella asked.
Kael's lips pressed themselves, "That's not for you to find out."
The silence that followed was extremely awkward.
No man should be ashamed of sidelining a female who did not get on board with his frame and build.
Kael was not ashamed of such either. He knew that with or without his powers, a rejection did not take anything away from him. It didn't change him.
