"Hello Mrs, mathron...how are you doing?" Ellara greets the bakery lady with a smile as she step inside.
The lady eyes widin with a smile as she saw innocent Elara coming towards her with a little basket in her hands as usual. "Oh, Elara! Long time no see huh?..... I am doing great, how are you and your mother ?... I hope she is fine now?" Mrs, mathron wipe her hands with her apron as she approach Elara with a sweet smile.
Elara gives a gentle nob to her as she put the basket on the shelf. "I am good and...." She hesitate before speaking about her mother, "Mother is doing.....fine."
Mrs mathron is one from the few whom Elara can trust. Mrs mathron also knows very well about how secretive and protective Elara is. "Good good, I hope she gets well soon, live is a long journey. She have yet to see her daughter's success."
A pity words which Elara have heard so meny times, if it had been effecting in any way, then they had improve Elara's mother's condition long ago. But the fact that everybody just think that they have to show the sampathy is just what makes Elara feel no joy on them.
Mrs mathron walk towards Elara and take the basket from the shelf. she look under it. "Hmm... No list today? Regular bread and milk?"
Elara nob slowly looking out of the door to the streets "hmm... Raguler."
"Okay. sooo." Mrs mathron looks around for the milk bottls and found one empty so she open the drawer and grab the keys of storage room. "Just give me 10 minutes and i will be back with the bread and milk. Don't go anywhere." And with that she disappear inside.
Elara was drone in her own thoughts, she didn't realize when lily came insidethe store and start calling her mother. Soon the little girl approaches and tap on her dress.
"Oh! hey, there." Elara jump a little on the sudden realization that the little girl was calling her constantly and asking for help to find her mother.
She pick her up in her arms and ask in gentle voice, not to scare her more with her scary face. "What is wrong baby?"
"Mom.... I can't find her." She said, her voice was more in worry then in need.
Elara chuckled softly "oh dear, your mother is in the back, i just asked her for the bread and milk, is everything alright?" Elara look at the little card in lily's hands "what is this?" She asked.
"I... I don't know....." Lily fingers moving to her lips in shyness as she describe "An old man with red suit was selling them in the crowd.... A lot of people was collecting them, so I pick one from the floor."
I rise my eyebrows "an old man with red suit you say? ....hmmm...can I see it?" I asked softly not wanted to make her sad. Lily nob slowly giving it to me.
"hmm let me see." I sat lily down and begin to open the envelope.
"What it is?" Mrs mathron came back, she put the basket on the side.
"Mom." Lily raise her arms for her to pick her up and she did, while walking towards Elara.
"I don't know.... She said an red suit guy....it's from palace." Elara said as she saw the shinny, golden signature on it.
"From palace?" Mrs mathron asked her eyebrows rise in curiosity, she take a peak of the card from Elara's sholders.
Elara reads quietly her expressions unreadable as she sigh "nothing serious..... Just another Gala in the palace tomorrow afternoon." She place it on the shelf, unfolded and grab her basket.
"A Gala?" Mrs mathron asked again this time light up. Her daughter also open her mouth wide, both feeling excited.
"Yes. Are you going?" Elara asked as she was looking like she don't feel any interest on making it look like an good news on her face but still, for not being so rude to them, she asked an simple question from her.
"Why wouldn't I....and I think you also should come with us. I have heard the third prince have completed his military graduation and is now ready for marriage, it could be an great chance to win his heart..."
Mrs mathron speak in excitement. "And you have high chances of getting his attention already with your charming face dear, so what you say?"
Elara roll her eyes "I don't want to win anyone's heart. I am fine." She said before closing the door behind her and disappearing in the crowded street again.
