Lu Chen loved Hangzhou.

His affection for the city stemmed not only from the fact that it was the capital of his home province, but more importantly, from the countless cherished memories he had made there, memories etched into his heart, indelible and eternal.

He had studied and lived in this city, loved and lost, laughed and grieved.

And the city itself was so captivating.

It possessed both the profound historical depth of an ancient capital and the delicate charm of Jiangnan, making one linger, unforgettable, and willing to spend a lifetime devoted to it.

And West Lake was the very essence of Hangzhou.

After dark, the Broken Bridge took on a beauty different from its daytime appearance. The long causeway teemed with people, while streetlights, casting a soft glow, stretched along the embankment into the distance, like a string of pearls embedded in West Lake.

Lu Chen had crossed the Broken Bridge, which connected to the White Causeway, many times, each time with a slightly different feeling.

The evening breeze stirred, setting the weeping willows swaying. The humid air dissolved the day's heat, and lanterns hung from pleasure boats drifting across the shimmering lake. Couples strolled along the shore, leaning against each other, perfectly embodying the essence of a picturesque earthly scene.

Halfway along the causeway, Lu Chen sat down on a roadside bench.

He gazed at the distant city lights, a wave of nostalgia rising in his heart.

He remembered a song.

Its name was Jiangnan.

After sitting quietly for a moment, Lu Chen rose and walked back the way he came.

None of the people on the causeway would ever know that he had been here tonight.

...

China Auto's 4S flagship store in the Binjiang New District of Hangzhou.

Completed last year, this flagship store was part of China Auto's ambitious market expansion plan in the Zhedong Province. In terms of scale, area, and facilities, it was on par with the Mercedes-Benz and BMW flagship stores in the same district.

Today was a special day. The main hall of the China Auto Hangzhou flagship store had undergone a complete transformation. The new cars, previously on display, had been moved back to the warehouse.

The space had been transformed into an event venue, complete with a temporary stage, a massive LED screen, lighting and sound equipment, and audience seating.

The Hangzhou fan meeting for Lu Chen's new album, 'Ordinary Road', was about to kick off. By 3 PM, fans had already begun arriving early.

For this event, Lu Chen's Workshop had issued nearly 500 invitations to fans from the Jiangnan region, selected through a blog lottery.

The fan meeting was scheduled to start at 7 PM, but by 5 PM, the 4S flagship store was already packed, buzzing with electric energy.

The crowd was overwhelmingly young, with many teenagers among them. Most came armed with fan support gear like cheering sticks and glow sticks. Despite the venue's limitations on capacity, the sheer number of attendees fully demonstrated Lu Chen's surging popularity.

The temporary backstage area was set up in the flagship store's office. Lu Chen had brought a small team of five people, including his assistant. All on-site setup and logistics were handled by a professional local company.

"Is it really lively over there?"

Chen Fei'er's soft laughter came through the phone, her voice as gentle as a breath on Lu Chen's ear.

Lu Chen sighed. "You'd know if you were here."

Chen Fei'er hadn't accompanied him to Hangzhou for the album promotion due to prior brand endorsement commitments.

Chen Fei'er laughed. "I won't chat with you any longer; I need to go on stage. Please send my regards to your aunt for me tomorrow."

After today's fan meeting in Hangzhou, Lu Chen was heading home tomorrow to visit his mother.

Come to think of it, he hadn't been home in a long time. He'd missed Gao He's wedding because the schedule was too tight.

This time, he absolutely couldn't miss it.

Lu Chen chuckled to himself, shook his head, and put down his phone.

"Lu Chen!"

"What is it? You can't come in here!"

Just then, a heated argument erupted from the corridor outside the door, a full-blown conflict, complete with a woman's scream and the shouts of assistants and security personnel.

What was going on?

Lu Chen frowned, stood up, and opened the door to see what was happening.

In the corridor, two security guards were restraining a young girl clutching a gift box. She struggled desperately to break free, her face flushed crimson.

Zhang Xiaofang, the assistant standing guard outside the door, immediately explained as Lu Chen emerged, "She suddenly rushed in!"

Lu Chen immediately understood.

His popularity was growing daily, and his fan base was expanding rapidly. Among his fans were casual followers, devoted fans, and even obsessive ones.

Some fans possessed truly remarkable abilities, managing to locate the apartment complex where Lu Chen lived in the capital and staking it out, waiting for him to emerge to request autographs or photos.

This girl was undoubtedly one of them. Somehow, she had slipped past the security cordon and accurately pinpointed his location.

When she saw Lu Chen, she immediately screamed, "Lu Chen! Lu Chen! I love you!"

Overcome with emotion, she started crying as she shouted.

Unfortunately, her tears failed to melt the security guards' stony hearts.

Lu Chen quickly interjected, "Let her go. It's fine. Let her come over."

Lu Chen had always been lenient with his fans. Even when their behavior crossed the line, he tended to be tolerant, offering gentle advice rather than harsh reprimands.

Besides, the girl looked no older than sixteen or seventeen.

Lu Chen spoke, and the security guards had no choice but to release the girl. She immediately lunged forward and threw her arms around him in a hug!

Her movements were remarkably practiced.

The force of her embrace made Lu Chen stumble back half a step. He smiled and said, "Hello. What's your name?"

The girl looked up, her face radiant with happiness. "I-I'm Hao Lulu. I'm your biggest fan!"

"Hello, Hao Lulu," Lu Chen replied. "The fan meeting is about to start. Why don't you come out with me?"

Actually, there was still half an hour before the event, but there was no harm in getting started early.

Hao Lulu nodded vigorously, her head bobbing like a garlic press, and presented a heart-shaped gift. "This is for you!"

Lu Chen accepted it. "Thank you."

Nowadays, Lu Chen Workshop receives countless fan gifts daily, ranging from the bizarre to the mundane. Of course, there were also those given in person, like this one.

With the young fan Hao Lulu in tow, Lu Chen walked onto the main stage.

The next moment, the entire venue erupted in thunderous cheers!
