"Hmph, no matter." King Mason grunted, composing himself and trying to remain nonchalant. "I can kill a scrawny mage like you with my bare hands!"
King Mason lunged toward the Fairy King, but stopped short and started screaming. King Mason's hands were missing, blood spilled from his severed forearms. My legs finally gave out from the sight of it. I fell to my knees.
"Ahh!" In an act of ferocious defiance, King Mason tried to kick the Fairy King, and his leg vanished as well. With only one leg and no hands to catch himself, King Mason flopped to the floor. The army's commanders and I looked at him in horror as the skin on the stumps of his limbs closed up over the wounds.
The Fairy King must have healed him. I have never seen healing magic work so quickly.
The Fairy King has not moved a muscle since I first saw him there. Then, one of the commanders ran out of the tent.
