Somewhere deep within him, Kent suspected he would be meeting this person. Call it gut feeling or merely natural observation, but everything he had experienced had the Paragon's fingerprints all over it.
However, he could also tell he wasn't here because of the Paragon.
He could tell he had come here of his own accord; he just didn't know whether it was due to his past incarnation or someone else entirely.
But after everything, he knew the Paragon was involved. After all, whenever he broke the rules to grow stronger, the Paragon always seemed to be there, making sure the laws stayed in their place.
Seeing the familiar face of the Paragon, Kent truly believed he might just be the good-looking one after all.
"Was the whole hook-to-horn thing really necessary?" He stood up and wiped the invisible dirt from his arm.
