"I…well it's a long story but…yes…" No…honestly it is not even that long of a story… "I know…I know this is random…" But Yunne can't back down now…she even went to sign the register paper right after that time she was chatting with Cupid in the bushes because Yunne was scared that she herself will change her mind simply because she got scared…
What am I…just a scared freak…lack of motivation and can't do anything new because I'm so scared of messing up…!
Rose looked slightly stunned, but then she took a deep breath and smiled: "No, no, it's alright, I was just a bit…surprised."
"Thank you…"
"What? Yunne, I haven't even…"
"I mean…I'm glad that you listen…and…"
"Of course I will! It's your choice after all, Yunne."
"Rose…" Look on the bright side, maybe it isn't that bad…maybe she could try to use this chance to spend more time with Rose! Yunne, this is such a good idea!
Let's forget about the fact that her mom doesn't really like this whole marathon idea…last night wasn't a great…one…
Her mother's face frowned slightly as she looked both worried and hated it.
Honestly, she felt uncomfortable too…
I'm sorry…I know I've troubled you a lot…
Then she felt someone holding on to her left hand.
"Yunne, if you win, I'll give you a gift, and if you lose, I'll take you out to coffee."
Rose's soft voice brought her mind back to the present, but then she blinked her eyes twice: "Hold on! What…what's the difference between those two???"
Rose crossed her arm in front of her chest: "Yes, it does." she said proudly: "Gifts are more expensive than a coffee cup right…?"
Yunne froze, then stared at her for a while before covering her mouth with her hand and giggling.
"Why are you laughing?"
"No…no…nothing…" I just think that point of yours are really cute.
Rose came from a quiet…well-off family, everyone know that, but she not the kind that would invited someone out just because she have money.
She act like a rich kid sometime but she doesn't actually spend much…her priority is on either money to help with the school council or to buy cake…yes, Rose loves eating sweet things.
Yunne can see…the fact that Rose willingly spends money to give Yunne something means it does matter to her a lot.
"Thank you, Rosy." she whispered in her mouth.
"What?" Rose was so busy thinking about what to give Yunne that she wasn't paying attention to her.
"Nothing! I'm just really glad to have you as my friend…so…even if we go separate ways, I hope I won't annoy you; this isn't any…heavy responsibility or something; I just wanna spend time with you again like…back then…" Ughhh! What are you saying, Yunne? What kind of nonsense are you spouting out right now!
Yunne turned her head away from Rose. No, this isn't going so well; maybe I should just run away and…
"What…no! Yunne, you're not annying me at all…if anything…"
Suddenly, both of them heard the sound of thunder; Yunne looked up at the sky.
Such a dark and gloomy sky! It's going to rain soon!
"I…I should get going now! Rose, you should get back home too, careful not to get caught in the rain, alright!"
"Ah…yes…"
"Here, take mine." Yunne turned her bag over and handed Rose the purple umbrella: "I don't see an umbrella on your bag at all; you must have left it in the council room again?"
"I think I did…my apologies…"
"Rose…? Are you alright…? You seem a bit."
"I'm alright, you should get going before it rains…"
"Ah…yes…see you tomorrow, Rose!"
"Thank you for the umbrella…Yunne…" She tried to thank Yunne, but her voice came out a bit too late; she had already left.
Rose looked down at the purple umbrella, holding it tighter; her mind kept returning to what Yunne had just said.
"You want to spend more time with me…?" She closed her eyes slightly. I want to spend time with you too…
But she doesn't know what to do either…she doesn't know…should I leave, or do I keep staying here and continue to be a part of your life…
Though Rose doesn't think she will give up any time soon, I can get over such extreme things and hellish tests; of course, I can do this. Stick to the plan, even if she wins or loses, I must give her something!

"Damn it…this cold ass weather…" Liu sneezed: "And would you look at that…" It's gonna rain any time soon…Hope Heos can be able to get that paper back on time…
"Oh…never thought you were still here."
Someone's voice echoed through the hallway. As Liu turned over to look, he opened a big smile on his face; it was a fellow A-1 student, not someone he liked, but at least it was not like their relationship was bad or anything.
"Hi, Mr.Lan. And why are YOU still here?"
"Cause I have things to work on."
"Great…I have none~"
Lan walked into class, ignoring the fact that Liu was trying to flex at him that he had finished all his homework beforehand.
Liu then pulled out a small milk candy ball and put it into his mouth before following Lan into class. It's too cold out here…
"Your big sis gonna join the marathon again this year?" There were only him and Lan left in class; the others all gone home now. Well…if you count the council president out because he's always in his council room after class.
Lan slipped over the paper and started to work on his leftover homework.
"Let's see…" Liu continued while slowly walking over to the class window: "We have your big sis from class C-1, Cupid from class A-2. They put on a show last year; guess what else we're gonna get this year? I hope Heos joins them! Maybe he can win against Cupid."
The sound of Lan's pen filled the room, the wind getting stronger and stronger every minute. Liu slightly raised his head up; this was gonna be one stormy day, wasn't it?
It's not like he has any business at home today anyway, mom has been going to aunt's house to hang out so he doesn't really have any work being thrown at.
Well…as long as he's gone home before 7p.m to do some laundry, that is.
"What's your deal…?" Lan whispered in his mouth, but in this silence class with just the two of them, of course Liu caught every single word Lan had whispered.
"Who knows." Maybe god might? "Wanna make a bet?" Liu then asked.
"No." Lan does not hesitate to deny his suggestion.
"How lame…" Liu shook his head in disappointment.
"Because we already know who will win." Lan waited a moment before continuing.
"Come on now…have a little hope won't kill you. But I do have to admit, you are proud of your sis that much huh?"
"That's just how she is."
He isn't proud about her at all, if anything, there is nothing about her that he feels like to speak about.
She's my big sister…end of conversation.
She alway wins, she alway gets what she wants, everyone loves her…
Lan holds his pen tighter, frowns slowly form on his face. I do…actually…I do hope she loses this time…

"Cupid is already home isn't he…"
"Yeah…well no not really…"
As Nova just got back to class, he softly asked Kari about Cupid whereabout.
"He borrowed my bike a few minutes ago, with a guy named Heos to get some paper, something something…"
"I see…"
Nova wondered if he could ask Cupid about it tomorrow, would he tell Nova about it or not…
"Are you waiting for him? I'm sure he will come back soon." Kari sat down on her table, this one heck of a homework…why did the teacher decide to have some random midterm test after the festival…can she just get one damn break?!
"It's alright, I have to go home early today."
"Oh. Okay." Kari turns her eyes, looking back at her homework as she hears Nova footsteps slowly leaving the classroom.
She does one to two more before lying down on the table, breathing out a small sign then looking back at the door.
Something seriously up with this guy isn't it?
It isn't her business so she never minded digging deeper. But she does wonder how much Cupid or another friend of his knew about it.
Sometimes interacting with Nova feels like someone who is really tired. He acts all nice and stuff but she thinks he figured some people in this class have already known Nova is just as anti-social as Cupid and Isa…
Not every good student tries to get high scores because they want to.
Nova seems so lack of motivation even if everyone sees him as a good example of a good student.
"I feel like all he even cares about is talking about food stuff with Cupid." She whispers in her mouth, but then breathes out a sigh and gets back to her homework.
What was I thinking, it's none of my thing to care about anyway…
