Under Zang Xin's request, Xu Xiaoyan and the four other girls donned their Battle Armor.
Xu Xiaoyan's Two-Word Battle Armor wasn't drastically different from her One-Word version. Primarily orange-gold in color, warm specks of light emerged from various parts of her body, transforming into exquisite pieces of armor that draped over her petite frame.
Pure star gems radiated a dreamlike glow, while ice-blue patterns accentuated her noble aura. As each individual piece of armor connected seamlessly, Xu Xiaoyan's presence surged instantly. The intricate craftsmanship of her Battle Armor elevated her elegance to unparalleled heights.
A golden crown descended onto her forehead, adorned with nine pure white pearls of varying sizes—largest at the center, smallest at the ends—arranged meticulously. As the crown settled, an orange-gold mask covered her delicate face, leaving only her bright, lively eyes exposed.
Xu Xiaoyan leaned forward slightly, and with a flutter, a pair of orange-gold metallic wings unfurled from her back. Each feather was meticulously crafted from metal, lifelike as if real, with gemstones embedded at every tip. As the wings spread, each gem shimmered brilliantly.
These wings were exceptionally agile. During their creation, Xu Xiaoyan had deliberately integrated them with her Star Dragon Wings, allowing the Battle Armor wings and her External Soul Bone to complement each other, compensating for any shortcomings. This synergy resulted in their current flawless state.
Yu Yan—this was the name of Xu Xiaoyan's Two-Word Battle Armor.
Standing beside Xu Xiaoyan was Wu Siduo. Her Two-Word Battle Armor was violet-gold, exuding both nobility and an air of mystery. A sharp gleam flashed in her eyes as faint purple radiance rippled across her slender figure.
A set of violet-gold armor, adorned with white patterns, enveloped Wu Siduo's graceful form.
Her gauntlets were particularly intriguing—the left one was sleek and sharp, with elongated claws resembling a cat's paw, while the right was thick and rounded, with sturdy claws akin to a tiger's. The patterns on both gauntlets were identical, extending seamlessly into the matching armguards. On the outer sides of each forearm guard rested a crescent-shaped blade, gleaming with a chilling edge.
Her shoulder armor bore the fierce visage of a sharp-eyed cat, while her chestplate featured the snarling head of a tiger, its black gemstone eyes appearing especially profound against the violet-gold backdrop. A sleek combat skirt wrapped around her waist, and resilient armor encased her long, jade-like legs, with pointed high-heeled battle boots protecting her feet.
Notably, the heels of Wu Siduo's boots were genuine blades—stepping on them would spell certain injury or worse.
Wu Siduo's head was concealed beneath the White Tiger Crown, revealing only her mouth. The tiger's eyes aligned with her own, their transparent design ensuring her vision remained unobstructed.
From her back extended a pair of wings—thin as blades, with wingtips sharp as spears. Even the slightest movement carried the sensation of slicing through the air, sending involuntary shivers down one's spine.
Overall, Wu Siduo's Two-Word Battle Armor perfectly accentuated her already well-proportioned figure. Even though it hadn't yet reached the Four-Word stage, its aesthetic alone was enough to leave a lasting legacy.
Wu Siduo's Two-Word Battle Armor was named Eternal, making her Eternal Wu Siduo.
Standing beside Xu Xiaoyan was Ye Xinglan, whose Two-Word Battle Armor retained its crystalline yellow hue. The only difference from her One-Word stage was the addition of wings on her back.
The breastplate enveloping her upper body resembled a long sword piercing the sun, its tip connecting to the battle skirt that swayed in the wind. The flame patterns on the skirt were so lifelike they seemed like real fire. The sword hilt extended to the neck armor, from which hung a pendant adorned with a vermilion four-pointed star, blazing like a scorching sun.
Above the neck armor was the headpiece. Ye Xinglan wore a Sun Crown, studded with the most gemstones that cast intricate shadows. A crystalline yellow mask concealed her striking features, leaving only her sharp, sword-like eyes exposed.
Every design element of Ye Xinglan's Battle Armor exuded sharpness, including the petite folded wings on her back, which resembled two razor-sharp blades.
As the Two-Word Battle Armor materialized, Ye Xinglan's aura surged dramatically. A towering sword energy erupted from her, drawing an approving glance from Zang Xin.
Ye Xinglan's Two-Word Battle Armor was also named Eternal, identical to Wu Siduo's.
This wasn't a major issue, as their armor would naturally differentiate when upgraded to Three-Word and Four-Word stages.
Mo Hentian stood beside Wu Siduo, her Two-Word Battle Armor having undergone significant changes from head to toe.
A crimson glow enveloped her before the armor emerged from the light, settling firmly on her body. First came the gauntlets—ordinary in appearance, covering all ten fingers. The palms bore intricate patterns traced in deep blue lines that seemed to tremble the soul upon sight—these were the marks of slaughter.
Next was the breastplate, depicting a nine-tailed Sky Fox in full display. The fox's head occupied the center of the armor, its eyes two deep blue gems—mysterious and eerie. The nine tails fanned out in different directions: three upward, three leftward, and three rightward, each pointing distinctly.
Her battle skirt fluttered gracefully.
Mo Hentian's headpiece resembled Wu Siduo's in style. While Wu Siduo wore the White Tiger Crown, Mo Hentian donned the Sky Fox Crown. Her wings took inspiration from Xu Xiaoyan's, though Xu Xiaoyan's were more for auxiliary purposes, whereas Mo Hentian's could function as weapons.
Every feather on her wings was a consecrated dagger, painstakingly crafted with meticulous effort.
With the Battle Armor donned, Mo Hentian's stature grew slightly taller, but what increased more dramatically was her overwhelming aura.
Mo Hentian's Two-Word Battle Armor was likewise named Eternal. She, along with Ye Xinglan, Wu Siduo, and Xu Xiaoyan, were deeply influenced by Jing Shaoyu.
Lan Fozi stood beside Ye Xinglan. Her Two-Word Battle Armor felt somewhat unfamiliar to the group, as it hadn't been crafted by their hands. Lan Fozi attributed it to family assistance, though Jing Shaoyu remained curious about the specifics.
Given the Demon Empress's special connection to the Holy Spirit Church, it wasn't impossible that Lan Fozi's Battle Armor had been produced with their help.
The main body of this Battle Armor was predominantly azure, accented with dark purple lines. On the sides of each forearm armor were blade-like fins resembling fish fins, while the gauntlets were adorned with scale-shaped armor blades. The chest plate featured a diamond-shaped blue crystal, from which one could almost glimpse the waves of the sea.
The battle skirt was dark purple, resembling a swallow-tailed skirt, except the tails were shaped like fishtails, with the end fins resembling sharp guillotine blades. This style of battle skirt was rare and bold in the Soul Master world, and at least Xu Xiaoyan and the other girls showed clear admiration upon seeing it.
Lan Fozi's headpiece was also crown-shaped, and compared to those of Xu Xiaoyan and Ye Xinglan, it looked even more like a true crown. Worn on her head, it exuded a regal aura. Her mask was a deep blue veil connected to the crown, covering her entire face.
Her Battle Armor wings were also quite unique, appearing like a pair of enormous fish fins.
Overall, Lan Fozi's Two-Word Battle Armor resembled a piece of azure gemstone, radiating an ethereal quality akin to moonlight shimmering over the sea.
Jing Emperor—this was the name of Lan Fozi's Two-Word Battle Armor.
Jing Shaoyu wasn't sure what her original intentions had been, but her current thoughts were no longer a secret.
Jing Emperor—the character "Emperor" represented the Sea King Whale, while "Jing" represented Jing Shaoyu.
Zang Xin stood to the side, watching as the five girls released their Battle Armor, his smile never fading. From these children, he saw a bright future.
This was a tremendous boon for Shrek Academy, the Tang Sect, and the entire Soul Master world. Having just left the Blood God Mountains, he knew all too well how fiercely the Abyss was assaulting the Douluo Continent. Now was the time to infuse such prodigious new talent into their ranks.
"Follow me!" Zang Xin said, flickering into the air above the valley.
Jing Shaoyu followed closely, appearing at his side, while Xu Xiaoyan and the other four girls flapped their wings, rising into the air with them.
Under Zang Xin's lead, the group descended into the valley. As they did, a faint golden light emanated from him, forming a shield that enveloped Xu Xiaoyan and the other four girls.
"Shaoyu, the valley below is filled with toxic mist. Use your Soul Power to protect yourself," he instructed.
Jing Shaoyu nodded. He understood what Zang Xin meant—beneath them, a thick, seven-colored fog stretched out, its visual impact striking. Without prior knowledge, who would have guessed that such a breathtaking sight was, in reality, a hellish death trap?
Zang Xin descended with the energy shield protecting the five girls. As the shield sank into the seven-colored mist, the girls' expressions turned to horror. They witnessed something unbelievable—the protective shield, formed by the power of a Limit Douluo, was actually being eroded by the mist.
Violent energy fluctuations rippled across the shield's surface, and small holes began to appear. The girls looked at Jing Shaoyu in alarm, their faces filled with concern.
"This is the Seven-Colored Toxic Mist, one of the most lethal poisons in the world," Zang Xin's explanation came at just the right moment. "Anything that falls into it will be corroded to nothing in an instant."
Over the years, the lingering mist above this valley had originally spread to the surrounding forests. Later, our sect expended tremendous effort and resources to contain and restrict it to the skies above the valley.
This also caused the toxicity of the Seven-Colored Toxic Mist to grow increasingly potent. Even a Black-level Mecha would be unable to endure for more than an hour within it. As for Soul Masters, only those at the Titled Douluo level could rely on their Soul Power to protect themselves and resist the mist's corrosion for a short time.
Hearing this, the five women nodded subconsciously.
Without a doubt, the Seven-Colored Toxic Mist was the strongest protective measure of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. With such formidable toxicity, even a Titled Douluo might succumb to it if caught unaware.
This made them even more worried about Jing Shaoyu, and they all turned to look back.
Then, they realized their concern was entirely unnecessary.
"Shaoyu, how many more secrets are you hiding from me? You're actually immune to the toxins of this Seven-Colored Toxic Mist—that's unbelievable!" Zang Xin exclaimed, wide-eyed, as he watched Jing Shaoyu strolling leisurely through the mist.
"Didn't I mention it before?" Jing Shaoyu scratched his head and chuckled. "My Natural God Spirit Soul grants me immunity to toxins. Unless it's a divine-level poison, no matter how concentrated or abundant the toxin is, it's just another form of energy I can absorb. Like this."
He stretched out his hand, grasping a handful of the Seven-Colored Toxic Mist. As green light flickered in his eyes, the mist was instantly refined into a stream of pure energy that flowed into his body. Hmm, not much—just enough to raise his Soul Power by one level when he was at the Soul Venerable rank.
"Alright, alright, I get it! Stop now!" Zang Xin hastily intervened, worried that Jing Shaoyu might whimsically refine the entire mist. If that happened, he wouldn't even know where to cry.
"Mm." Jing Shaoyu stopped. He hadn't planned to refine all the mist anyway—he wasn't that desperate.
Zang Xin immediately accelerated their descent. The dozens of meters of toxic mist were breached in an instant, and their vision suddenly cleared, revealing a modestly sized valley before them.
Everyone was stunned by the bizarre sight before them. The first thing that caught their eye was a peculiar lake, divided into two distinct colors—one side a chilling blue exuding cold air, the other a boiling red radiating heat. Two diametrically opposed temperaments coexisted in the same lake without encroaching on each other, a truly wondrous sight.
Along the lake's shore grew all manner of exotic flowers and herbs. Even a quick glance revealed countless rare medicinal plants that were priceless in the outside world. These plants were lush and enormous—one particularly large flower, from their vantage point, looked as big as a round table.
"So this is the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well... it's so beautiful!" Xu Xiaoyan exclaimed in awe.
The other four women nodded in agreement.
Jing Shaoyu also took in the scenery of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. He could sense two powerful soul forces deep within the Yin-Yang Twin Springs—likely the source of the well. He saw numerous immortal herbs, each brimming with life energy, their ages reaching tens of thousands of years.
The moment they appeared in the air, several powerful mental probes suddenly swept up from below, landing on them with unmistakable hostility, as if scrutinizing their origins.
Jing Shaoyu frowned, and an aura of authority emanated from him. Instantly, the ascending mental probes shattered, and panicked exclamations echoed in everyone's ears. Zang Xin, who had been about to take action, glanced at Jing Shaoyu before leading the way down into the valley.
The others followed closely behind.
The plants at the valley floor parted, revealing a bare patch of ground just large enough for the seven of them to stand on.
Standing at the bottom of the valley, they could fully appreciate the grandeur of this hidden realm. Every plant was vibrant and enormous—grasses that would only grow ten centimeters tall in the outside world reached a full meter in height within the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
"Wow! Heavens, that Fierce Flame Apricot Enchantress is massive! Judging by its size, it must be at least two hundred thousand years old!" Lan Fozi exclaimed in disbelief, her eyes wide.
No sooner had she spoken than the same powerful auras pressed in again, though this time they kept their distance, merely encircling the group. Meanwhile, the exotic flowers and plants around them seemed to come alive, twisting and turning with wary movements.
Six humanoid figures gradually emerged from the foliage, appearing before Jing Shaoyu and his companions.
