My eyebrows knit together. The door to Dove's penthouse was wide open.
That was wrong. That was so wrong it made my stomach drop.
Dove was terrified of being home alone. He had been since as long as I could remember. He was the guy who triple-checked every lock in Miami. He slept with the TV on. He texted me "door locked" every night for a year. And now his door was just open.
