Ye Yao led Ye Qiu to a relatively secluded alley. This place was inhabited by long-time residents and, for some reason, hadn't been slated for demolition, maintaining the old courtyard residential style.
"Here we are, Grandpa Hong is inside," Ye Yao said as she knocked on the courtyard door. An elderly man, somewhat unsteady on his feet, smiled at her upon seeing her.
"Yaoyao is here. I heard you've gone to live with your birth parents. Qian Lan Ya isn't causing you any trouble anymore, is she?" he asked kindly.
"No, I have no relation with her anymore."
"That's good. Your mom, she's a heartless one."
"Grandpa Hong, this is my little uncle. I'm here today to ask you for a favor."
He glanced at Ye Qiu and shook his head, "I'm too old for this; I can't treat it."
"How do you know without trying? Old man, look at me, so young, unable to walk. Just take pity on me," Ye Qiu said with a light chuckle, making it hard for people to refuse.
"Sigh, come in then."
