Ash's grin stretched wider, and he clapped his hands together, rubbing them with anticipation. "So… shall I start?"

Five items appeared in the Exclusive Store display. Ash leaned forward, eyes scanning each glowing icon before he let out a small sigh. "Hmmm… after all that excitement, I'm in a dilemma."

["What is it now?"] Celeste's voice echoed in his mind.

"I mean, which one should I buy first? They all look good… makes me want to see them all at once," he said with a helpless shrug.

A faint tick mark flashed on the corner of the interface. ["Just buy anything you want, idiot. What's there to think about? Why not buy the cheapest one first?"]

Ash chuckled under his breath. "That's actually a good idea. Well then—here I go." He tapped on the icon with the lowest S.C.

A rectangular, sheet-like ticket materialized in his hand as the light faded — matte black, with thin golden lines running through it like circuitry. When the light shifted, faint symbols glimmered across its surface, like the night sky caught beneath glass.

"Well, that's sleek," Ash murmured. "Alright, let's see what this one's about. Celeste, show me its description."

Celeste says, ["Here you go."]

Ash stared at the screen, his eyes widening. "Well… I don't know what to say. Wow."

He blinked once, then laughed under his breath. "Hey, Celeste, this is too good to be true, you know?"

Celeste remarks, ["Well, I did say that the Exclusive Store only shows Mythic-based items and sometimes if you're lucky you can get it like just you saw it. So, what do you think?"]

Ash grinned. "Do you even have to ask after looking at my face? This is worth way more than I spent on it. I mean it's 3 tickets for 25k S.C. I can't wait to show this to the girls. With time, I can upgrade all of their weapons." He let out a low whistle.

He flicked his hand, sending the ticket into his inventory. "Well, let's keep it inside for now."

His eyes moved down the list, a spark of excitement flashing across his face — the one his instincts had been pulling him toward. Ash didn't know what the rest of the items were about, but just by the names displayed, he could get a feeling for each one… and this one seemed to call to him even more.

"Now for the next one… how about this? Let's buy this," Ash said, tapping the next icon showing 50k S.C.

Sparkles of light spilled from the system interface like dust gathering in front of him. The air shifted — a faint wind forming as the light began to swirl together.

Slowly, it started to take shape: first the hilt, then the outline — lines of golden light curving and joining like a heartbeat coming to life. The glow deepened, solidifying into a single elegant form suspended in midair.

Ash recognized it instantly — a katana. His eyes widened as his hair stirred under the aura it released, almost as if it possessed a will of its own. He stepped closer, reaching out carefully toward the floating weapon. The moment his fingers brushed the hilt, the air around him stirred into a gust, centering on his presence.

With both hands — one gripping the scabbard, the other the hilt — Ash drew the blade slowly. The steel shimmered, sleek silver with faint streaks of deep violet running through it. The air hummed, low and resonant, carrying an almost sacred weight.

As the blade fully emerged, Ash stood still, lost for a moment, unable to hide the awe spreading across his face.

He didn't even speak — just glanced toward the interface. Celeste, without needing to be asked, seemed to understand.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////

⚔️ Name: Eidolon [50,000 S.C]

Grade: Mythical

Type: Weapon

📜 Description: A soul-bound, living katana that evolves in perfect harmony with its wielder.

It instinctively adapts to match the user's growth, powers, and battle style, becoming stronger as the wielder advances.

The katana naturally emits a battle aura—a subtle, energy-like presence that intensifies as the user grows.

🔥 Effects:

✔️ Soul-Bound: Permanently bound to the wielder. Cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed by external forces. Gradually self-repairs if broken.

✔️ Living Weapon: The katana is sentient and can communicate telepathically with its wielder. Its personality naturally develops based on the wielder's journey.

✔️ Battle Aura: The katana emits a growing combat aura. Initially faint, it gradually builds into a tangible pressure that can affect surroundings and intimidate enemies.

✔️ Unbreakable Bond: The katana will always return to the wielder's hand, no matter the distance or barriers.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Ash exhaled softly, a grin tugging at his lips. "Celeste, if you were real and here right now, I could kiss you."

The system interface flickered with a faint blush. Celeste shyly replies, ["Oh, stop it, Ash."]

Ash chuckled. "Well, what could I say more? I can't wait to use you," he said, looking at Eidolon.

The blade pulsed faintly in response, a soft aura wrapping around him for a brief moment — like a silent embrace.

"Well, for now, I'll keep you in the inventory," he murmured. With a flick of his hand, the katana dissolved into light and disappeared into storage.

Celeste asks, ["Why store it and not use it now?"]

Ash leaned back slightly, smiling to himself. "Well, I still have Kashu. It may not be on Eidolon's level, but I'm not ready to let go of it yet. Besides…" He smirked, eyes narrowing a little. "I want Eidolon to be my secret until the time is right."

Celeste replies, ["Well, it's your wish. So, shall we go to the next?"]

Ash nodded. "Why not?" He tapped the next icon on the screen.

Soft green light flowed from the screen, spreading outward in gentle ripples. Tiny motes of gold and emerald shimmered through the air, gathering into a single point before him.

The glow pulsed softly — calm, alive — and then coalesced into a small crystalline vial. Inside, a liquid of shifting greens and golds swirled slowly, as if it contained the breath of the world itself. The faint scent of fresh earth lingered in the air, grounding and serene.

Celeste displayed the necessary description on the screen as Ash purchased the item.

🌿 Name: Essence of Gaia's Pact [75,000 S.C]

Grade: Mythical

Type: Consumable

✔️ Permanent Natural Energy Affinity:

Grants the ability to passively absorb natural energy from the surroundings at all times. The absorption rate increases in rich natural areas (forests, oceans, mountains, etc.).

✔️ Growth Over Time:

Continued absorption steadily enhances the user's physical stats, endurance, agility, strength, and energy pool, with no risk of backlash or side effects.

✔️ Bottleneck Breaker:

Significantly helps the user overcome growth plateaus and bottlenecks in skill advancement, Haki, and Devil Fruit mastery that would normally take years to surpass.

✔️ Regenerative Vial: The vial refills completely every 7 days, allowing another eligible person to drink it.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

He looked at the crystalline vial he'd just bought for 75k S.C., and was speechless when he read what the item was about. "Holy shit… Celeste, where are you hiding these kinds of items?"

He tilted the vial slightly, watching the liquid swirl like living light. "I mean; I thought it might be something related to Gaia when I read the name—but to think it's this. And on top of that, it can even refill! With this, not only me but the girls and our future crew can grow stronger, you know? If this really works as described… it's a total game changer."

Celeste replies, ["Well, this one is a surprise for you. I can't control what rewards or items you get, but there are occasions when I can select certain ones. For example, I could only choose this for you because you reached the level necessary to handle it. In fact, if you check, you'll find this item in the Exchange Store section itself."]

Ash blinked, still in disbelief. "Really? I didn't know you could do that. And why didn't you tell me before it was available in the Exchange Store?"

Celeste exaggerates with a sigh, ["Well, I did say I can't tell you things until certain conditions are met. I too have restrictions you know. If you're that restless, then get stronger—hmph."]

Ash chuckled. "My bad, sorry, my cute system."

Celeste huffs softly, her tone turning almost sulky. ["Fine. Well, are you going to take it?"]

Ash smiled faintly at her reaction and looked at the vial in his hands. "Well, I'll test it and see before I even give it to the girls. Not that I don't believe in you but—just in case." He lifted the vial slightly. "Well, wish me luck… bottoms up."

Ash hummed quietly as the warmth spread deeper. His senses sharpened — not overwhelmingly, but enough to notice every little thing. The faint scent of blue earth reached him first, followed by the crisp freshness of the air. He could almost taste the wind — clean, cool, carrying the distant hint of rain.

Without realizing it, he slipped off his sandals and stepped barefoot onto the ground. The texture was soft, familiar — warm, almost welcoming. The breeze brushed against his skin, light and gentle, like a mother's touch. Something in that feeling reached deep inside him, and before he knew it, his eyes blurred.

Celeste asks softly, ["Ash… are you crying?"]

Ash blinked, coming out of the quiet trance. He lifted his fingers and felt the moisture at the corner of his eyes. A small, surprised laugh escaped him. "Nothing… it's just… I felt like I was being hugged by mother."

He paused, his smile faint but real. "Though I don't know how that feels. I was an orphan, right? You know… I—" He stopped himself, shaking his head lightly. "Forget it. But… thanks, Celeste. For choosing to give this to me."

Celeste, understanding the weight behind his words, replies softly, ["You don't need to thank me, Ash. I'm your companion in this new journey of yours. You might've been alone in your past life, but now you have me — and people you can call family, who love you. So, cheer up, Ash."]

Ash nodded, a small chuckle slipping out as he wiped the tears. "Heh, sorry for the downer there."

Celeste says gently, ["It's fine."]

Ash smiled faintly storing the empty vial in his inventory so it can refill. "Alright then, Celeste. Time for the next one."

Celeste, understanding his sudden change of topic, replies, ["Sure. So, what will it be this time?"]

Ash rubbed his hands together. "Well, we've been going from lower to higher S.C., right? So, let's go with this one next."

Ash blinked as the purchase completed. A soft clink echoed, and a small square of black cloth — barely the size of a handkerchief — drifted onto his palm.

He stared at it, deadpan. "Celeste, I think I got scammed by you. It says Sovereign Pirate's Banner here, and you made me spend 80k S.C. for this? How is this even a mythic item. It's just a piece of plain black cloth. I don't even see how this is a banner!"

Celeste replies calmly, ["Think of the size you need it to be, and it will change accordingly. Read its description — you'll understand."]

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Ash sighed, pulling up the interface. A few moments later, his eyebrows shot up. "Oh… oh, I see. My bad again."

Celeste remarks teasingly, ["You really have been jumping conclusions today, don't you think?"]

Ash chuckled awkwardly, scratching the back of his head. "Yeah, yeah, I get it, sorry again."

Celeste continues, ["There's also one small reveal. Just like with resizing; to duplicate it, you only need to imagine it. The same goes for its design — picture how you want your pirate flag to look, and it will materialize exactly as you imagine it."]

Ash grinned. "That's insane. Me and the girls have already been brainstorming the flag design — guess this means we can actually test them out until we find the perfect one. And… with this, we won't have to worry so much about protecting the people we care about. I can't wait to see its effects fully once we start the journey."

He gave the small cloth — or rather, the banner — one last look before storing it in his inventory. "Alright… now for the last one." His tone shifted, a glint of anticipation in his eyes. "The one that caught my attention the first time I opened this store. Celeste, take the 100k S.C. — and give me that final item."

As soon as Ash confirmed the purchase, a faint light gathered above his palm again, slowly taking shape.

A small injector formed in the air — smooth, metallic, with clear glass in the center. Inside, a silvery liquid swirled lazily, catching the light with a faint reddish tint. The glow around it faded, leaving the injector floating quietly before dropping neatly into his hand.

Ash turned it over, inspecting it from every angle. The liquid inside pulsed softly… then shifted, almost as if it were reaching toward him from within the glass.

"Whoa… what the heck? Did the serum just move toward me?" Ash blinked in surprise. "Celeste, I already got the picture about this serum just by its name, but can you show me its description? I want to confirm if it is what I think it is."

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Name: Genome Lock Serum [100,000 S.C]

Grade: Mythical

Type: Consumable Serum (Artifact)

📜 Description:

A rare, self-replicating, semi-sentient serum stored within a fully autonomous injector that permanently binds to the user's genetic structure, providing absolute protection against cloning, tracking, blood-based manipulation, and forced genetic misuse.

The injector naturally self-sterilizes and refills the serum every 7 days.

✨ Effects:

✔️ Permanent Genetic Protection:

Prevents DNA extraction, cloning, genetic replication, blood-based manipulation, and unauthorized artificial creations. Protection lasts for life.

✔️ Anti-Tracking Defense:

Blocks all genetic tracking, biometric locators, and bloodline-based scanning methods. Blood samples become useless to anyone.

✔️ Will-Gated Protection:

Users can selectively grant or deny permission to share their DNA or integrate with system-based bloodline fusions. Without conscious permission, their DNA cannot be used.

✔️ Safe Multi-Use Design:

The injector self-sterilizes after each use and regenerates a new serum dose every 7 days.

One dose is permanently sufficient per person.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Ash exhaled slowly once he finished reading, whistling under his breath. "That's… a lot more advanced than I expected."

He rolled the injector between his fingers, watching the faint shimmer of liquid inside. "Permanent genetic protection, self-refilling, even selective access control…" He gave a low whistle. "That's basically the ultimate safeguard."

Celeste asks, ["So? Did you confirm whatever doubts you had?"]

Ash grinned. "Yeah, mostly. When I saw the name, I figured it'd be something like what I just read — but when that serum started moving toward me, for a second, I thought I'd pulled a Venom or something similar. I went full fanboy mode for a second there."

Celeste hums, ["Ah, yes. The symbiote character from Marvel — merges with its host, adapts, and enhances them."]

Ash chuckled, glancing at the injector. "You know, you kinda remind me of it sometimes... I mean, with you being inside my soul, talking in my head, giving me power…"

Celeste's voice sharpened playfully, ["Excuse me? Are you calling me a parasite?"]

Ash laughed, holding up his hands in mock defense. "Whoa, easy there! I meant the cool parts — smart, powerful, and maybe just a little possessive."

Celeste huffs, ["You're unbelievable."]

Ash grinned wider. "Come on, you've got to admit — the comparison fits."

Celeste retorts dryly, ["If you start calling me a parasite, I'm logging off for a week."]

Ash laughed out loud. "Noted, my non-symbiotic partner and companion."

Celeste mutters with a huff, ["Hmph. Better."]

Ash shook his head with a smile, then looked down at the injector again. "Still… this thing's incredible. The concept alone is genius — protection down to the gene itself. That's next-level stuff. But I thought I was already protected from that kind of thing with you around."

Celeste replies calmly, ["You are — I can protect you from it. But remember, it was your own condition when you entered this world before accepting me — that you'd grow on your own. That you'd depend on me, but not completely.

This gene protection — it's something you've earned. Just like when I added Gaia's Essence, you met the conditions that allowed me to modify the preset items in this store. So, this isn't something you could easily obtain, even from the Exclusive Store.

And just so you know, I could override all the settings I changed upon your request anytime if I ever feel that your life was in danger.

Anyway, with this item, you'll never need to rely on me for genetic protection again. It functions exactly the same as what I provide. And now, not just you — with this, you can protect the girls too. They don't have me like you do, right?"]

Ash nodded with a soft smile. "Yeah. I know I can depend on you, Celeste. Thanks for going along with my silly conditions."

He paused, his voice lowering thoughtfully. "And you're right… now it's not just the girls. The future crew will be safe too."

For a moment, his mind drifted — remembering how the Seraphims were introduced to replace the Warlords of the Sea. He shuddered, the thought chilling him. If the World Government or Vegapunk ever got their hands on his blood, he didn't even want to imagine what they'd create.

Celeste asks, ["So, are you going to take it now?"]

Ash blinked, coming out of his thoughts. "Yeah… I will. So, how do I inject this thing?"

Celeste replies, ["There's a small button on the top. The coned end is where the injector comes out — press the button on the other side to activate it.

As stated in its description, it's completely safe for multiple uses. The needle automatically retracts and a new one forms each time. A small portion of the serum remains inside — it regenerates from that and refills itself every seven days."]

Ash nodded, rolling his shoulders once. "Alright then… here I go."

He took a steady breath, positioned the injector against his arm, and pressed the button.

A soft click echoed, followed by a faint hiss as the injector pressed against his skin.

Ash hissed slightly, waiting—half expecting something dramatic.

A few seconds later...

.

.

.

One minute later...

He blinked, staring at his arm. "Uh… okay. I didn't feel anything. Celeste, what happened?"

Celeste remarks, ["What were you expecting exactly? Your veins bulging like they're about to burst? Muscles screaming in pain? Bones cracking and reforming? Maybe a power surge, dramatic screaming, and the world shaking around you?"]

Ash hesitated. "Ahhhh… yeeesss?"

Celeste scoffs, ["Please. This isn't some over-the-top anime transformation. It's a serum, not divine enlightenment. You got what you paid for — minus the theatrics."]

Ash blinked, then let out a soft laugh. "Well, excuse me for expecting a little flair."

Celeste replies with a mock tone, ["Well, sorry to disappoint you. Everything I give doesn't come with flashy lights or explosions."]

She paused, her tone turning sly. ["And here I thought you just wanted pain. Didn't know you were into that kind of kink, Ash."]

Ash sputtered instantly, choking on air. "Wha— no! I'm not— don't twist it like that!"

Celeste chuckled softly, ["Relax, I'm teasing. You're way too easy to mess with sometimes."]

Ash groaned, rubbing his face. "You're supposed to be my system, not comedian."

Celeste's voice came back with a hint of amusement, ["Can't I be both?"]

Ash sighed but smiled despite himself. "You really enjoy making me look like an idiot, huh?"

Celeste hums, ["Only when it works."]

Ash shook his head with a short laugh, the last of his fluster fading. "Yeah, yeah… guess I walked into that one."

Celeste laughs softly, then says, ["Well, looks like all the items are bought."]

She pauses for a moment before adding, ["Are you happy with the items?"]

Ash smirks. "Do you even need to ask?"

He stretched slightly and started down the cliff path toward Makino's, speaking to Celeste in his mind. "Can't wait to show the girls the full haul I just bought," he said with a grin.

Celeste hums, ["But what about the Rainbow Lottery Ticket? It's still unused. I thought you'd want to try it today."]

Ash's grin turned more thoughtful. "Nah. I'll save it for the day we set sail next week — a send-off gift to ourselves, you know?"

Celeste says in approval, ["Hmm… well, it's your decision. So, what happens now?"]

Ash reached the door and pushed it open, the sound of laughter spilling out from inside. Uta sat near the counter, strumming her tone-dial guitar; Selina and Ace were arguing over cards; and Lucy waved excitedly the moment she spotted him, making all four turn toward him with smiles.

Ash smiled softly as he stepped in, replying to Celeste with a quiet chuckle in his mind, "Guess I'll take a little peace before the chaos starts."

Author's Note – End of Volume 4: A Dawn of Dreams – Echoes Before the Journey

Well guys, as per the requests from a few of you, I decided to dedicate this volume to those who wanted it. And as I've mentioned before — I'm still new to all this, and yeah, I do use GPT to help me craft and refine my chapters.

Now, about those R-18 scenes… let me tell you, it was one heck of a ride. 😅I had to go through multiple stories and examples to figure out how I wanted to deliver them, and even then, I had to be extra careful since GPT has policies in place. But after a lot (and I mean a lot) of rewrites, I finally finished this.

Don't worry though — I'll still add R-18 scenes here and there when the story calls for it, but please don't expect them too often. Honestly, I don't think I'm fully ready to write at that level yet, haha.

That said, I'd really appreciate it if you could drop your thoughts on this volume — comments, reviews, and power stones go a long way! I promise I go through all of them whenever I get time.

And to those who aren't into R-18 content or didn't vote for it — I'm sorry if this volume wasn't your cup of tea. But I hope I didn't disappoint you too much, and that you'll continue to support me as the story moves forward.

Kudos, guys! 🙌I'll be back in a couple of weeks with a brand-new volume.

Meanwhile, feel free to share your ideas and opinions down in the comments — I'd love to hear them.

To be continued...

Thanks for reading this chapter!

I'd love to hear your thoughts — not just on the plot, but the journey itself. Is the pacing feeling right to you so far? Too fast, too slow, or just, right? Are there any moments, themes, or dynamics you feel are missing or could be explored more — like deeper character bonds, world-building, emotional scenes, or even new twists? Anything.

Also, is there anything you'd love to see added that could make the story even more exciting or satisfying? Whether it's a kind of power, a dramatic reveal, or just a character moment — your feedback really helps shape this story into something better.

Let me know in the comments! I read every one. 💬

And as always, if you're enjoying the ride, feel free to drop a Power Stone — it means a lot. 😊
