After learning of the existence of other worlds, Rizevim had become obsessed with invading them.
But there was one enormous obstacle blocking his path: Great Red, the True Red Dragon God Emperor, who dwelled within the Dimensional Gap.
Great Red was a being even the Infinite Dragon God Ophis couldn't defeat. Naturally, Rizevim understood his own chances were nonexistent. Even if every powerhouse in this world, except Jeanne Alter and Ophis, joined him, he'd still lose miserably. However, at that moment, Rizevim discovered another terrifying monster from the Book of Revelation—one mentioned alongside Great Red.
The Beast of Revelation—666, also known as Trihexa.
Using the [Sephiroth Graal], Rizevim delved into the depths of life itself, uncovering Trihexa at the world's edge, bound by an immensely powerful seal.
That sealing spell was so dangerous and malicious that it would be lethal even to ordinary gods—only the Biblical God could have possibly created such a barrier.
"So, this is the true reason behind the Biblical God's death?" Azazel murmured pensively. "He found Trihexa and sealed it away secretly to protect the world. Then he provoked the war among the three factions, during which those reckless Heavenly Dragons jumped into the fight. After handling all that, he finally succumbed to exhaustion. Before his demise, to preserve balance, he took down the original four Maou with him..."
Azazel felt deeply moved as he finally unraveled the mysteries that had troubled him for so long. At last, he understood clearly what Jeanne Alter had meant by the "world-ending calamity." He glanced at Jeanne Alter, recalling how she first revealed this during Kokabiel's chaos, and couldn't help but chuckle quietly.
"Miss Witch was right back then. The Biblical God really was incredibly foolish. Even if Trihexa had awakened, he and Ophis could've survived, yet he pushed himself to such extremes he ended up sacrificing himself… Everyone except Ophis in this world owes their lives to that foolish God."
"Ridiculous. That idiot Kokabiel actually believed we Fallen Angels would've won if the war had continued… Truly laughable. It's us 'evil angels' who owe our lives to that God's mercy."
Despite these revelations, Azazel quickly shifted focus to the present crisis, turning to Aži Dahāka with a puzzled look.
"How do you know all of this?"
"Of course, because Rizevim needed my help. Breaking Trihexa's seal was far beyond his ability." Aži Dahāka lifted his heads proudly.
Diabolism Thousand Dragon, Aži Dahāka, master of countless forbidden spells—this was exactly why Jeanne Alter had spared and subdued him. Unlike battle-crazed dragons like Grendel, whom she exterminated without hesitation, Aži Dahāka indeed proved his worth.
"The Biblical God's sealing spells were excessively powerful, but with the [Sephiroth Graal] and the Holy Cross as aids, we made decent progress. Had we obtained the Holy Spear too, things would've been faster."
"Khaos Brigade had the Holy Cross too?" Jeanne Alter shot a surprised glance at Azazel.
"Ah…yes," Azazel said awkwardly. "We encountered the wielder of [Incinerate Anthem] during battles with Khaos Brigade—one of the leaders from their renegade mage faction, 'Hexennacht.'"
Three sacred relics existed among the Longinus-class Sacred Gears:
Holy Spear, [True Longinus], which pierced Jesus Christ.
Holy Grail, [Sephiroth Graal], which held Jesus's blood at the Last Supper.
Holy Cross, [Incinerate Anthem], upon which Jesus was crucified.
The Graal had been taken by Euclid Lucifuge and handed to Rizevim; the Holy Cross was in the possession of Khaos Brigade's Hexennacht; the Holy Spear was initially wielded by Cao Cao of the Hero Faction, now held by Jeanne Alter.
Somehow, the terrorist Khaos Brigade had managed to claim all three sacred relics—an absurd irony that left Azazel, as a biblical figure himself, utterly speechless.
Azazel had once mistakenly thought Jeanne Alter and her divine tools were preparations left behind by the Biblical God. Now, knowing better, he found the truth somewhat embarrassing.
However, Rizevim's ominous warning—"If I die, the world will perish"—wasn't a bluff. Rizevim had secretly embedded a trigger in Trihexa's seal that would violently destroy all remaining restraints upon his death.
This meant Trihexa had already awakened, undoubtedly racing from the world's edge to utterly annihilate everything.
Concerned that Jeanne Alter might blame herself for swiftly killing Rizevim, Azazel carefully offered reassurance:
"You don't need to blame yourself. You made the right call. Trihexa's awakening was inevitable. Letting Rizevim live would've only made our already dire situation worse. What matters now is alerting all mythological factions to prepare for the coming threat."
Jeanne Alter raised an eyebrow incredulously at Azazel's words.
"Hah? You think I'd feel guilty? Please, I'm well aware of everything you just said."
It's merely Trihexa. She'd simply kill it.
Even the Biblical God had managed to quietly seal Trihexa away without disturbing anyone else. Jeanne Alter, who possessed even greater allies than him, had no reason to fail. However, she preferred permanently resolving this crisis rather than merely sealing it, leaving hidden dangers for the future. Who could guarantee another Rizevim wouldn't appear someday?
A sudden burst of air rushed toward them rapidly.
Silvery-white radiance streamed elegantly across a slender figure, noble and graceful, engulfed in blazing silver draconic aura.
The White Dragon Emperor—Vali Lucifer.
His gaze shifted from Azazel to Aži Dahāka, brimming with fighting intent when he met the latter, complicated when looking at Azazel, and finally resting deeply upon Jeanne Alter.
"Rizevim… Did you kill him?"
Jeanne Alter slightly narrowed her eyes. At Rizevim's mention, Vali's aura briefly surged—not mere fighting intent, but murky hatred, bitterness, and vengeance.
Yet another Avenger…
"What's wrong? Was he your intended prey?" Jeanne Alter tilted her head slightly, playful mockery in her platinum eyes. "Unfortunately, he disgusted me so much I incinerated him completely, not leaving even ashes behind… Are you angry I stole your prey?"
"It is a shame. I'd have preferred to end him myself—I had countless grudges against him…"
Vali clenched his fists, murderous intent practically tangible in the air.
"Still, although regrettable, I'm not angry with you. Rather, I'm grateful. My only concern is… Did he suffer?"
A vicious smirk curled Jeanne Alter's lips.
"Oh, he suffered immensely, sobbing pathetically and cursing me until the end."
"Hahaha!"
Vali laughed loudly, releasing a long-held burden. Afterward, his stance visibly relaxed, and he shrugged helplessly toward Jeanne Alter.
"Besides, even if I wanted to complain, I couldn't exactly fight you anyway."
"Is it my fault I'm this charming?" Jeanne Alter waved dismissively.
Officially, Vali was still considered a Khaos Brigade member. However, Azazel vouched for him, claiming he'd infiltrated Khaos Brigade on Azazel's orders. Although somewhat exaggerated, it wasn't entirely untrue—Vali had indeed provided Azazel significant intel.
After hearing about Trihexa, excitement radiated from Vali.
"A monster alongside Great Red in the Book of Revelation, the cause of the Biblical God's death… Let me join the fight! I want to challenge it!"
Vali had always sought strength, openly aiming to surpass even Great Red. Facing Trihexa, another legendary existence on par with Great Red, ignited his fighting spirit.
"No."
Jeanne Alter shook her head decisively. "You're still leagues away from that level. Train harder if you want to join such battles."
Brutal but honest. Vali at his peak could barely match the original White Dragon Emperor Albion's prime—but sustaining it was impossible for long, nowhere near the league of Great Red or Trihexa.
Yet Vali remained undaunted.
"I see… Then I'll just get stronger. Wait for me—I will catch up and surpass you all!"
"Ha! I like this White Dragon Emperor!"
"He is truly worthy—a dragon chasing and attracting power."
"The current Red and White Dragons are both fascinating!"
Aži Dahāka expressed genuine appreciation—and fighting intent—toward Vali. Reborn by the Graal's power, he'd now reached the Heavenly Dragon class himself, eager to prove his superiority.
Azazel swiftly intervened.
"Enough! We have urgent matters—destroying Khaos Brigade and handling Trihexa. You can battle anytime later."
With authority, Jeanne Alter issued instructions:
"First, crush Khaos Brigade and any other troublemakers."
"Second, deliver the [Sephiroth Graal] to Valerie in Romania, waking her and delighting Gasper."
"Third, confirm Trihexa's location, inform all faction leaders, and prepare a battlefield strong enough to withstand catastrophic destruction."
Her expression turned grave.
"Fourth, most importantly…"
Azazel gulped nervously.
"Most importantly…" Jeanne Alter stared intently into Azazel's eyes. "Get me an extended leave from school. Battles like this take time. Use Rias and Sirzechs's influence if you must—make sure they approve it!"
Azazel nearly collapsed.
This was your most important point—?!
