She calmed herself and then sat up.
Beside her was a sticky note.
"Breakfast is downstairs, remember to take your medicine."
Wen Tang put down the sticky note and looked toward the contraceptive pills beside her.
She took one, held it in her mouth, and swallowed. The first time, it had been hard to swallow, but now she felt numb to it.
After rushing through her morning routine, it was already an hour later when she arrived at Pei Group.
She took a sip of water at her workstation and began her work on the computer in a methodical manner.
After a while, she glanced at the tasks she needed to complete today and went next door with her organized files.
Pei Heyan wasn't there, so she placed the documents on the desk and turned to leave, only to meet Lu Nianxin's gaze head on.
"Miss Lu," she greeted.
She intended to leave with her head down but was stopped by Lu Nianxin who, with arms crossed arrogantly, blocked her path.
"Tell me, where were you last night?"
