Pei Heyan leaned back, looking lazier than usual.
"That makes sense," he turned his head and asked, "It seems the question from before hasn't been answered yet."
"Is it Mr. Bai's question, or yours?"
Unable to avoid it any longer, Wen Tang stopped beating around the bush and bluntly admitted, "Yes, I was lying."
She felt utterly humiliated, especially in front of Pei Heyan, and even her breathing seemed to hold back.
Just when she thought she was about to face punishment,
she heard Pei Heyan's light laughter near her ear.
She looked up at Pei Heyan, puzzled, "You're not angry?"
Pei Heyan chuckled, sentimentally, "Why should I be angry when there's a foolish woman thinking of me?"
A flash of joy crossed Wen Tang's eyes, "You really think so?"
Pei Heyan raised an eyebrow.
He took Wen Tang's hand and placed it over his chest. Her body tensed, but Pei Heyan continued, "Do you still think I'm deceiving you now?"
