"I'll avoid mentioning it if I can," she said, consolatory words dissipating like smoke in the air.
Wen Tang settled into the car, "You saw that, right? That's my mom."
It was the part of her life she'd always been most reluctant to display.
Cao Yinqiong bit her lower lip thoughtfully, "It doesn't matter, everyone in the world has their own difficulties. Cheer up."
Wen Tang took a deep breath.
She pulled out a cigarette and put it between her lips to light it, but the lighter was snatched away by Cao Yinqiong, "What's so good about smoking?"
"Immature."
Wen Tang reached out her hand to her, "At least it can provide temporary relief."
Cao Yinqiong hesitated for a moment, then rolled down the window and threw the lighter out, dusting off her hands, "I studied medicine; I can't stand the smoke."
"I want to live a few more years."
Wen Tang smiled and shook her head, putting the cigarette away, "Alright, you win, I won't argue."
