President Pei's brows furrowed, and as he rose to his feet, he asked while walking, "Which hospital are you in, where are you injured, what did the doctor say?"
Wen Tang heard the sounds of the villa's front gate closing through the phone.
Her voice was calm and collected as she responded, "The two cars didn't crash into each other. It's not as serious as you imagine."
President Pei's voice carried a reprimand, "Wen Tang, could it kill you to drive slower on the way back?"
"Who gave you permission to treat your life as a joke?" At least, not in his eyes.
Wen Tang set her phone aside and switched to speaker mode, boiling it down to two words, "My mistake."
