He had struggled through the night, and the lower half of his body had already gone numb, nearly causing him to fall.
"Be careful," Pei Heyan steadied Wen Tang by the arm.
The doctor continued, "There's one more thing that's most crucial; you need to gradually help her come to terms with it."
"Because she'll never be able to pick up a scalpel again."
Wen Tang's mind thundered.
The doctor left.
Darkness loomed before Wen Tang's eyes, and he steadied himself against the wall with his other arm before he could stand firm.
"The patient has now been moved to the ward, why not take this time to go grab something to eat?" Pei Heyan suggested.
Wen Tang shook his head, "I've lost my appetite."
"You go eat, I want to sit with her for a while."
As he spoke, Wen Tang headed toward the ward.
Pei Heyan didn't stop him and bought breakfast back to the ward.
