Looking at Chen Yunxi's crestfallen expression, she spoke in comfort.
"I remember a month ago during our last meeting, you were so determined to stay at Pei Family; yet here we are, you've resigned and moved to Lu Family. Plans can't keep up with changes. Who knows, maybe in another month, you'll resign and join your own Chen Family. Anything is possible," she said, noticing a hint of a smile on Chen Yunxi's lips and coughed twice to subtly point it out.
Chen Yunxi wiped her lips with her fingertip and smirked slightly, "I'll just take it as one of your lies for now." She felt slightly better.
"I don't agree with you going back to Lu Family."
A clear male voice sounded.
The surrounding diners at the tables also looked over curiously.
