Judging by the current progress of the fire, it would burn for at least another ten minutes or so.
"Cough, cough—" Wen Tang covered her mouth and began to cough violently.
The thick smoke spread into the living room along with the evening breeze.
Pei Heyan furrowed his brows and wet a towel to cover Wen Tang's nose.
"Would you like to take a walk in the back garden?"
Wen Tang pursed her lips.
Continuing to stay here was somewhat torturous.
She nodded and went to the back garden with Pei Heyan.
The smell of smoke was even stronger than in the living room.
The only advantage was the air circulation, she sat by the rockery, listening to the sound of flowing water, feeling greatly improved.
"We could go to the wine cellar," Pei Heyan suggested with a twist of his eyebrows, as he really couldn't bear to see Wen Tang suffer.
"That's even more boring," Wen Tang murmured.
The sound of the sirens grew louder, and the two quietly waited in the back garden to be rescued.
