I decided to face Odin inside my own world... the Land of Survival.
The Council's plan was to gather every Writer capable of fighting and throw everything we had at him, relying on sheer numbers in what was essentially a suicidal battle. But I saw no hope in that plan. If anything, I could already picture my family and every other Writer lying dead before the Pale Devastation.
To prevent that from happening, I needed to act quickly and lure Odin into the Land of Survival before he reached the Land of the Writers.
Normally, entering a Writer's world was only possible by touching the book itself, but opening a portal capable of dragging Odin here was no longer particularly difficult now that I possessed the Tool of Creation. Something like that could easily be accomplished by feeding a little Aether into it.
Odin was far too powerful, while I was still weak compared to him.
So I needed to narrow the overwhelming gap between us as much as possible.
