Chapter 34 - Chapter 32: Visit to Arlong Park

Oliver was walking around the island, looking at everything while whistling, happy that he had obtained such a strong Fighting Style, so now he only needed to practice it.

"There are really anime-like things here, and what I got is from One Punch Man. A fighting style that manipulates the air to generate sharp whirlwinds capable of cutting almost anything—it's simply incredible, Master Bomb."

While walking, he thought of something.

"Gacha System, how much did that bastard increase the strength of the enemies in One Piece?"

[I cannot answer that]

"I figured, but it was worth asking. Does this mean I'll have to investigate every island beforehand and check how strong everything is from now on?"

Oliver sank into his thoughts, ignoring everything happening around him until he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, what are you doing here, inferior huma—?"

A group of Fishmen had run into Oliver, so they went after him, but since Oliver was deep in thought, he didn't notice them. Moving instinctively, he punched the Fishman who had touched him right in the face.

"Huh?"

Oliver snapped back to reality and saw the Fishman falling to the ground with a bleeding nose.

"Miserable human!"

He tried to hit him, but Oliver blocked with his left arm.

"Hey, I want to try something," Oliver said with a smile.

He punched him in the stomach, then followed with a knuckle strike to the face using Electro to make sure he was knocked out.

Another Fishman tried attacking from behind, so Oliver dodged, grabbed his arm, broke it, then kicked his knee, forcing him to kneel, and finished with a kick to the face.

The first Fishman got back up, and seeing his nakamas on the ground, lunged at Oliver. Oliver dodged and punched him in the stomach, followed by two blows to the head, then attacked him with the tips of his fingers, piercing his abdomen.

"Y-You bastard…"

"Shut up."

He electrocuted him, leaving him defeated.

"Three Fishmen down," Oliver said.

One of the Fishmen managed to get up and grabbed Oliver from behind.

"I've got you! Now I'll tear you apart!" the Fishman said.

He squeezed Oliver tightly, intending to crush him.

"Don't think you can."

Oliver applied more force with his arms and broke free from the hold.

The Fishman continued attacking, but a reddish aura appeared around Oliver's hands, allowing him to deflect every strike.

Desperate, the Fishman kept swinging, but Oliver used the opening to redirect a punch and strike him directly in the face, followed by multiple hits, then grabbed his head and kneed him, finally knocking him out completely.

"I hope you don't get up," Oliver said.

He sat on the ground, a bit tired.

"I managed to use it, but it really took effort. I guess just obtaining it isn't enough."

He looked at the three defeated Fishmen, then at himself.

"If I think about it, I'm weaker than Sanji. He could've beaten these three easily. I'll need to train more or get some talent that helps me level up my Fighting Styles faster."

He stood up and dragged the defeated Fishmen to leave them in the forest where they wouldn't be found for now, since he didn't want them heading to attack Cocoyashi Village.

While Oliver fought the Fishmen, Usopp was talking with Nojiko.

"You know, you're not so bad after all, even with all those tattoos," Usopp said after watching Nojiko stop a child from risking his life.

"How old-fashioned you are! Though I don't know much about you either," Nojiko replied.

"Ah, right, I'm Captain Usopp, and I'm looking for a girl named Nami," he asked Nojiko.

"Nami? She's a Pirate, a member of the Arlong Pirates," she said while taking a sip of tea.

"Wh-What?! Nami belongs to Arlong's Crew?!" he shouted, shocked.

"Yes, she's very well known around here. Remember what that kid said? The girl who looked like a witch?" Nojiko said, resting her head on her hand. "You'd be even more surprised knowing this very house is where she grew up. Nami and I are stepsisters."

"What?!" he shouted again in shock. "This is Nami's house?!"

"Yes, Nami and I are orphans. We were brought to this house and grew up here. The woman who raised us is gone now, but the three of us lived here together happily in Cocoyashi Village," she said, reminiscing.

"In this village? Then why is Nami on Arlong's side when he's the one ruling this place? Did she betray her own village?!" he asked, unable to understand Nami.

"It can be seen that way. She's a witch, remember? So, what do you want with that witch, Captain Usopp?" she asked directly.

"Nothing, not after what I just heard. She was deceiving us all this time… From the beginning she was after our treasure!" he shouted, angry at being tricked. "Now that I think about it… that makes me furious! She helped us protect my village, she laughed, she looked like she was having fun with us on the ship, and all that time she was planning to leave us!"

"Really? Having fun? Her?" Nojiko asked, sounding slightly happy.

"But now I'm mad! She deserves nothing but psychological warfare! We'll ignore her! We'll give her the silent treatment!" Usopp said as smoke came out of his head.

"I'll say it again, don't get involved with the Arlong Pirates," she warned him once more.

"I'll have to find Oliver so we can leave this island," Usopp said, now convinced Nami couldn't be brought along.

Meanwhile, Oliver went to Arlong Park to observe them and see how many Fishmen there were.

He saw Arlong and part of his crew leaving Arlong Park, so he waited until they were far away.

'It's time.'

He went in to check if there were any Fishmen, but saw no one.

"I don't see anyone."

He jumped over the wall surrounding Arlong Park and entered the building.

'I hope Nami isn't here… otherwise I wouldn't know what to do.'

He started searching floor by floor, looking for Fishmen, but found none.

"Now that I think about it, Arlong had money… maybe I could steal it."

He reached a room where he saw Arlong's weapon.

"So this is an armory… I'll keep searching. There's no safe here."

He went up another floor that looked more like a living space and found a safe.

He went to open it and saw a large amount of Belly.

"How much Belly is in here?"

He was about to take all of it but stopped.

"After Arlong's Pirates are defeated, they use Nami's almost 100 million Belly to rebuild the village… but I don't remember if they also used Arlong's treasure..."

He thought for a moment and closed the safe.

"They can keep the money. It's money Arlong stole from all the villages of the Conomi Islands anyway. Besides, I'll still get the 50 million for defeating them."

He continued up and found Nami's room.

"It's so small… And to think Nami lived here suffering for years. Oda really gave you a horrible past… and Luffy arrived at the perfect time to save you."

He looked at Nami's pen with blood and an idea came to him.

"Wait—money and saving her. I think I know how to keep her from reaching despair."

He left the room intending to leave, but as soon as he stepped out, he saw a Fishman.

"What is a filthy human doing here?"

"Hey, do you guys all have the same programmed line?"

He kicked him, knocking him down, then stomped on his face.

"These Fishmen…"

He looked ahead and saw more Fishmen, all armed.

"It took effort to beat three… This looks really bad."
