"Where could I find a shop like that?" Oliver wondered.
He walked through the streets, seeing a large number of people that made it hard to move around.
"This is definitely different from the other islands, there are way too many people here"
He started checking the surrounding stores until he found a weapon shop.
"Weapons. I have plenty, maybe I can sell them and buy a spear just in case"
He checked the weapons he had and entered the shop to sell everything.
"75,000 Belly, not a bad deal" Oliver said.
"You only come here to sell?" the vendor said, slightly annoyed.
"Of course, I want a spear" Oliver said, looking around.
"100,000 Belly," the vendor replied.
"Excuse me?" Oliver said, not believing the price.
"I said a spear costs 100,000 Belly. If you don't have the money, get out!" the vendor shouted.
"Wow, you're aggressive. Are you sure that's what a spear costs? They look pretty bad to me" Oliver said.
"Get out"
The man was about to grab something from the display, but he was hit on the head.
"What's all this noise?!" a woman said.
'What a personality' Oliver thought, a bit intimidated.
"Well, what do we have here? What do you want to buy, handsome?"
The woman had voluminous pink hair, fair skin, intense pink eyes, and a somewhat predatory smile.
"I see you have a better attitude" Oliver said, leaning on the counter. "I'd like to buy a spear"
"30,000, but for you I'll leave it at 25,000" she said, winking.
"30,000? That's strange, I thought I heard earlier they were 100,000" Oliver said, glancing at the man.
"100,000? You must've misheard, it's 25,000. Pick one yourself" she said with a smile.
Oliver checked the spears; they were all practically the same, with no distinctive design, so he grabbed one.
'It doesn't feel different from the one I had before. I'll just keep it for emergencies' Oliver thought.
"So, you'll take that one?" the woman asked.
"Yeah, this one" Oliver said, placing the spear down and paying 25,000.
"Thank you very much for your purchase"
Oliver left the shop with his new spear, feeling a chill.
"That woman was strange, it almost felt like she was trying to eat me with her eyes" Oliver said, a bit nervous.
He stored the spear in his inventory and continued walking until he caught a peculiar smell, which he followed to a small food stand.
"This smells good" Oliver said, until he saw a scorpion skewered on a stick. "You sell scorpions?"
"That's right, they're not very popular, but I assure you they're tasty" the vendor said.
Oliver hesitated, unsure how they prepared them or if the venom had been removed. He was about to refuse, but then remembered.
'Wait, I have poison resistance, it doesn't matter if they're venomous. And if they are, my adaptability should do something' Oliver thought. "I'll buy them"
"Five scorpions for 100 Belly," the vendor said.
He paid, and the vendor handed him the five fried scorpions.
He ate one; it tasted a bit like chicken, but very crunchy.
"It's good" Oliver said, eating another.
"I'm glad you like it," the vendor replied.
"Excuse me, do you know where I can buy cannonballs?" Oliver asked while eating another.
"Cannonballs? What, are you a pirate?" the vendor asked.
"Who knows," Oliver replied.
"If you want cannonballs, go to the dock. That's where everything related to ships is sold," the vendor said.
"Thanks a lot"
He said goodbye and headed straight to the docks.
"It should be around..."
Oliver fell silent as he felt someone watching him, so he turned around trying to find them.
'Hmmm... was it my imagination?' Oliver thought.
He focused a bit, trying to detect what it was.
'It's gone. Could it be Buggy's pirates, or did that mission change something?'
He kept walking, passing several shops and buying everything needed for the Going Merry, along with extra supplies.
"Thank you very much! Come again!" a vendor said.
"You really can buy a lot of things on big islands like this"
He had bought new clothes: a checkered shirt over a t-shirt, jeans, boots, and a leather jacket on top.
"This feels better" Oliver said, no longer wearing the sling. "And I feel much better than when I broke my arm"
With everything ready, he headed toward the Going Merry to drop things off before meeting the others, but as he walked, he again felt someone watching him, so he decided to find out who it was.
He saw a small alley and waited there. Soon, a group appeared in front of him, blocking his path, while another group appeared behind him.
"I doubt they're Marines. Who are you? Don't tell me you're members of the Black Cat Pirates?" Oliver said.
"Black Cat Pirates? Not at all" one of the men said as they drew their swords.
"We're the Buggy Pirates!"
Oliver looked at them; they all wore those ugly clown outfits.
"The Buggy Pirates? HAHAHA, and here I was worried it might be something different because of that mission" Oliver laughed, now much more relaxed.
"Now you're alone, and that Devil Fruit guy isn't here. Besides, we have strong backup" one of the pirates said.
"You really are attractive. Worthy of being my partner" said a fully covered woman.
Oliver heard that voice and made a disgusted face as he realized who it was.
"Alvida," Oliver said.
Alvida removed her cloak, revealing her new appearance—no longer overweight, now slim.
"Surrender and be my partner," Alvida said.
"No thanks, I don't date ugly people," Oliver replied.
The Buggy Pirates started complaining about how he could say that.
"Ugly?!"
"What are you talking about, bastard?!"
"We should beat him up for saying that to the beautiful Alvida-sama!"
"An ugly person? Who?" Alvida said, looking around. "Guys! Who is the most beautiful woman in the seas?!"
"You, Alvida-sama!" the pirates shouted.
"I have a question, how do you know about me?" Oliver asked.
"My men told me about a handsome young man who attacked them, and after searching, I finally found you," Alvida said. "Once I have you, I'll go after Straw Hat and then sail the seas gathering the most handsome men"
Oliver tried to hold back his laughter but couldn't.
"I never thought I'd hear something so ridiculous" Oliver said, stopping his laughter. "Want to try? Go ahead, but I doubt anyone would go with you. You may have changed your appearance, but inside you're still the same disgusting fat woman with a terrible personality"
In an instant, he punched two pirates and kicked another, sending him crashing into the rest.
"And that's that"
He tried to punch Alvida, but his fist slipped, hitting a wall instead.
"You can't hurt me. I ate the Slip-Slip Fruit, so all attacks slide off..."
Oliver used Electro and attacked again, electrifying his strike.
"Maybe I can't hit you normally, but I can definitely electrocute you," Oliver said, pulling out his claws and attacking the other pirates.

"Why do I have to carry the heaviest part?!" Usopp shouted angrily.
"People around here seem to be fainting," Zoro said.
"The air pressure is very low. It'd be safer to return to the ship," Nami said.
Then the four of them stopped in front of a large crowd.
"I made it," Oliver said as he arrived.
"Where were you?" Usopp asked.
"Beating up a bear and a lion," Oliver replied.
"And Luffy?" Zoro asked.
"He said he was going to see the execution platform," Nami said.
"Isn't this the square where it is?" Usopp asked.
"Well, I think that's it," Oliver said, looking at the platform.
Just then, they heard Buggy shouting that he was going to kill Luffy, leaving everyone shocked.
"What the hell is he doing on the execution platform?!" Zoro shouted.
"With Luffy, you're never bored," Oliver said with a slight laugh until he saw Nami's angry face. "Cough... well, I guess we'll have to rescue him"
"That's right," Sanji said.
"Nami and Usopp should go to the Going Merry while we handle rescuing Luffy," Oliver said.
"Alright. You better get Luffy out of this and come back to the Going Merry," Nami said.
"No problem at all," Oliver replied.
