Sleepiness is quite a mysterious thing. Unlike pain, you can't simply endure it until it's gone.
Or like glue about to burst forth, maybe if you hold on a bit longer, you can keep going.
The more you try to resist sleepiness, the sleepier you become. In the end, your entire consciousness turns into chaos, muddled and unclear, unaware of what you say or do.
Tom is very sleepy now, his body protesting against his consciousness. What he needs most is to "take a nap," rather than sitting here listening to a small character talk about his ideas.
However, he held on, for even small characters have their value. At least Lance played a significant role in helping to suppress the labor strike, and he did it rather nicely.
Lance also noticed his fatigue and sped up his pace of speech.
"This matter starts from the beginning of this year..."
He explained why he wanted to buy grapes, his assessment of the situation, and his first deal with the Liji Group.
