Mr. Selei frowned, countless memories being dredged out from the depths of his mind, stirred, just in search of this name.
After a while, he shook his head, "I'm sorry, Mr. Lance, I haven't heard of your name."
He shifted forward, raised his right hand, making a dismissive gesture, "But it doesn't matter whether you're called Lance or anything else."
"This isn't a place where you can pick a fight."
Mr. Selei's raised palm returned, tapping his fingers on the table, "Listen, I don't want trouble, but I'm not afraid of it either."
"Jordan of the Black Flag Brotherhood is my friend, a good friend, one who can do something for me."
He stared intently, hoping to see emotions like surprise, fear, or retreat in Lance's eyes.
He said this every time he encountered trouble, and almost every time he managed to get what he wanted, seeing what he wanted to see.
He was indeed good friends with Jordan from the Black Rider Brotherhood; they were once neighbors.
