The restaurant door swung open, and Lance walked in from outside. He stood at the entrance, removed his hat and coat, and swept his gaze across the hall.
The entire restaurant hall had only one table left; the other tables and chairs were stacked together and pushed to the wall.
Lance had booked the entire restaurant, so today it was reserved solely for their group.
"Am I late?" he said while walking to his seat, glancing at his watch as he did.
The agreed-upon time was now, which meant he was right on time and the others had arrived early.
The smallest guy immediately flashed a fawning smile, "We came a bit early, Mr. Lance, you're just on time."
Lance walked to his spot, and Elvin pulled out the chair for him. After sitting, he gestured for everyone to sit down. "Who are you?"
The short man widened his eyes in pleasant surprise, "Mike, Mr. Lance."
Lance nodded, "Mike, I'll remember that."
He looked at the others as they introduced themselves one by one.
