Chapter 115 - Chapter 29: Part 2

- Rin -

Dammit, what kind of shitty luck was this?

To meet this same monster twice in a row.

Truly, seeing Shinji was bad luck.

Rin vowed to herself that she was going to summon the best saber servant as soon as she went back home today… that's if she was able to escape out of this situation alive.

She checked her pockets… Only two jewels left. She had a plan but it would be difficult to implement it with just two jewels. Dammit, if she should have saved the last jewel instead of protecting the playboy.

No time for regret.

She could only improvise now.

Quickly thinking on her feet, she threw one towards Berserker to bind him to the ground and the next one towards the little murder machine of the Einzbern so that she could have some chance to escape.

What she didn't expect was that the jewel did nothing to Berserker and he jumped towards her, completely unfazed by the attack.

She gritted her teeth and jumped back.

Berserker's attack slammed the ground, the shockwave knocking the wind out of her lungs and the pieces of the shattered ground striking her, disturbing her balance as she landed, spraining her foot.

Dammit, dammit, dammit.

Berserker raised his hands once preparing to strike her once more.

Is this how it was going to end?

Was she going to fall before she could even summon a servant in the Holy Grail War?

She still had to win the Holy Grail War and restore the Tohsaka name. She had to find out what happened to Sakura.

Dammit!

But instead of the attack from Berserker, what came was a pillar of ice, right out of the ground, impaling Berserker and raising him high into the sky.

"Berserker!" Einzbern shouted and looked towards the side where… the playboy stood, his hands raised towards the pillar of ice.

Was he the one who did that?

"You! You are a Magus!" Einzbern shouted, as projectiles appeared beside her but before she could move, several spikes of ice rose from all around her, stopping just an inch from her neck. They were so close that if she were to move even a bit, she would bleed.

High Speed Incantation?

No.

He was not using any incantation at all.

Did he set up a spell using some tools?

But when did he do that?

He however looked serious, turning towards Einzbern. "This will be the first and the last time I say this so get it through your head. Attack again, and you die. Next time I will straight up freeze you into a popsicle." As if trying to prove that he could do what he said, he snapped his finger towards a fountain and the entire place turned to ice instantly. "If you two have some disagreements, talk and solve it. If you can't do that… get lost."

A roar erupted from the top of the ice pillar as the Berserker was still struggling, trying to free himself from the attack but before he could move, hundreds of icicles erupted from inside his body, turning him into swiss cheese.

Rin felt a shiver run down her spine at the brutality of the move, especially considering the fact that the playboy wasn't even looking at Berserker and was still glaring at Einzbern.

"Do we have an agreement?"

Einzbern, still glaring at him, whispered a yes.

"Good. Then wait till the ice melts." He walked towards her.

"It's quite late and dangerous outside… Do you want any help?"

She eyed him and after thinking for a moment, she agreed to have him take her home. She didn't have anything to defend herself with, not to mention her mana was running low too.

If she were to encounter anyone in this state, she could die.

With that in mind, she asked his help to get home.

She needed to summon a servant first before she could do anything else.

They walked back quietly towards her home, stopping just a bit away from her home.

"Sakura must have fallen asleep by now but if you want to meet her, you can drop by the Restaurant tomorrow. Oh, and if you need any help later, feel free to drop by. While she might have snapped at you back then, she was actually worried when she realised that you had some accident before going to the Restaurant. Try talking to her once. She could really use family right now."

She looked at the ground, clenching her hands.

The reason she had kept her distance from Sakura was due to the pact made by her father which required the Tohsaka family to keep a distance from her. She wanted her sister to get the best upbringing as a magus but apparently… it was quite the opposite.

"What… what did they do to her?" She asked, hesitantly.

He became quiet.

"Something which made me regret not killing that blue haired bastard the first time I saw him." His words made her look at his face and she inadvertently took a step back.

His blue eyes sent shivers down her spine. That look was far worse than anything he had shown against the Einzbern.

She didn't know if it was her imagination or if the night just got colder.

A moment later, he took a deep breath and the chill disappeared.

Somehow despite her curiosity, she couldn't ask him about it after that. She however vowed to go to the Restaurant tomorrow morning and meet Sakura.

He didn't say anything else and walked away.

Rin just stared at his back for a while before walking back to her home.

She had to summon a servant and prepare for a war.

- Silas -

I came back to the Restaurant in a complicated mood.

At first I wanted to bring her back with me but realising that she was actually wary of me after that show of strength, I pulled back.

Still, Sakura's world was freaking dangerous.

Was it normal for people to attack and kill anyone they saw for the first time?

Or was it just my curse acting up once more?

And what the fuck was that hulking menace?

He looked strong so I directly used Devil Slayer Magic infused Ice to rip through him, not taking any risk and I could feel my magic being resisted to some extent when doing that. Whoever or whatever that was, had some resistance to magic.

But then… just who had beaten up and thrown that thing on us?

Seriously, too many monsters outside.

The Restaurant is the only safe place.

With these complicated thoughts, I entered the Restaurant to find Saitama returned… with a woman in a hooded costume, looking like some kind of weird cult member. Was she cosplaying?

"So she was being attacked by some pervert in a skirt and you beat that guy up, saving her and bringing her here." I asked.

"Umu." Saitama nodded, taking a bite from his food.

We had just sat down for dinner after returning.

Sakura looked more… controlled. Yes, controlled is the right word here as while she seemed calm, after knowing her for so long, I knew she was anything but that.

"Good that you were there. Are you alright, miss? Do you want some first aid?" I asked.

"No. I was rescued right on time, thanks to a hero." She looked at Saitama with a smile.

The guy himself was fully concentrating on the food and didn't notice the woman's gaze.

"It's good that you were there, Saitama."

"Yeah, I am sorry, I couldn't find that girl though."

"It's okay. That world is very dangerous. Thankfully, I found her. She was also being attacked by some kind of monster… at least I think that's what it was."

Sakura paused at this and I placed a hand of hers. "Don't worry. I took care of it and dropped her home. She might… return later tomorrow." I reassured her.

I got a slight nod in return but she didn't say anything else.

"That world?" The woman asked. "What do you mean by that world?"

"Eh…" I looked at Saitama and then at her. Well, since she was already in the Restaurant then there was no problem telling her and so I explained everything about the Restaurant to her.

"Really, many different worlds? Completely unrelated with different rules and types of magics?" She asked, stunned.

"Umm, not every world has magic but yes, basically that."

"And you can access everything from this place? That's no less than any miracle."

"Well… I guess so?" I replied, not knowing what else to say there. "Anyways, do you want us to drop you anywhere? It's very late anyways. If you want I can get the guest room arranged for you."

"I don't have anywhere to go. I appreciate the offer but I would like to go with my hero." She said with a smile and looked at Saitama once again.

The man in question looked surprised and looked at her but nodded. "Hmm sure."

The woman's face brightened with a smile.

They went back to their food while I just kept looking between them.

Could it be…

No no…

This is big.

I need to tell Rimuru and Ainz about this.

We were just talking about Saitama actually dating earlier today and somehow, this happens…

Seeing Saitama agree, I didn't say anything either.

The next day started off normally.

Sakura looked much calmer and Shuna had decided to stay at the Restaurant that day to accompany her, since Lavy and Orihime hadn't returned back yet.

It was this that made us realise how much we relied on Lavy to keep the upbeat mood of the place.

She had a… way to cheer everyone up and make us forget about our troubles.

"Are you alright now?" I asked Sakura when we were the only ones in the kitchen.

"Hmm."

"You can take a break if you want to."

"No. I want to work."

"Alright. Just… don't push yourself."

"Hmm."

The usual guests came over and went.

Even Rimuru and Ainz came in and ordered.

Milim, as usual, was playing games with Fafnir.

I was waiting to finish the orders until I was free to talk with them about the events of yesterday, especially the woman who was swooning over Saitama.

Fate however seemed to have other plans.

As I came out, bringing Rimuru and Ainz' orders with me, the door to the Restaurant opened again and this time it was Saitama himself, walking with a gorgeous blue haired woman wearing a black top with a jean jacket and long tan skirt. The most eye catching thing about her was without a doubt her knife-like ears. She looked completely different from her yesterday's cult member look. So, was she really out cosplaying yesterday?

She was holding Saitama's arms with a smile on her face.

The scene made Rimuru's spoon fall out of his hand while a green aura enveloped Ainz. Even, I was stunned for a moment.

Holding hands… in less than a day… Holy Crap, Saitama worked fast.

"Oi, what the hell? Who is that with Saitama?" Rimuru whispered to me.

"Calm down, Rimuru. It could be his sister." Ainz replied, sagely, making me want to facepalm.

Still, looking at Saitama, who was still wearing his usual bored expression, I couldn't help but feel a tinge of respect.

We had talked about him getting a girlfriend just yesterday and in less than a day, he was here with a girl who would put even those supermodels on tv to shame.

He came and sat down on the table with Rimuru and Ainz with the girl standing beside him.

I quickly offered her a seat and she took it with a smile.

"Umm… Saitama… this is…" Rimuru asked.

"Hello, my name is Caster. I am Saitama-san's servant."

"Eh!"

"Huh!"

"What!"
