The mist took a considerable amount of time to settle after the massive explosion. And when it finally did, the air was calmer but remained incredibly dense.
The black smoke continuously generated by the raging fire kept the atmosphere heavy, opaque, and nearly impossible to see through.
The four of them (Ren, Luna, Liora and Larissa) were protected by Larissa's Lynx and Luna's Tiger. Their two beasts manipulated the air currents whenever the toxic, acidic smoke drifted too close, safely pushing the hazard away from their lungs.
Those same beasts lent their elemental control directly to the girls. Working in perfect tandem with Ren, they projected a synchronized potent pulse of wind that swept the haze back just enough to reveal the dragon's current state.
They could finally see the creature clearly.
It was devastated.
