Thick arcs of crimson electricity lashed through the air, scorching the space they passed through and leaving faint distortions behind. Max extended his will once more, and just as he had done before, he began drawing every strand of red lightning back toward himself.
The crimson lightning resisted.
It raged violently, surging and colliding within itself as though unwilling to be bound. The sound it produced was deeper and harsher than the blue lightning, like the roar of a raging inferno mixed with thunder.
