Lucia shook her head immediately.
"No," she said. "That is not the reason."
Her expression turned grave as she continued.
"There is a deathly aura surrounding that Black Dragon's corpse," she explained slowly. "It is not an ordinary aura. It is something that has been formed from the lingering essence of a true dragon after death, mixed with the chaos and destruction of the war that took place here."
She paused briefly, making sure he was paying attention.
"Any being that comes into contact with that aura, no matter how strong they are, will begin to undergo draconification," she said. "Their body will start transforming, their mind will slowly collapse, and eventually they will turn into a monstrous dragon like creature without consciousness. After that, they will lose themselves completely and become part of that very aura."
