Chapter 366 - Chapter 366: Beast Tide

Chapter 366: Beast Tide

The massive silver dragon, hidden deep within the Star Dou Forest, was none other than the Silver Dragon King. Sensing recent upheavals in the world, she had come to Dragon Valley to heal, anticipating a significant shift for the soul beast race. Feeling the undercurrent of change, especially noting Tang San's recent divine inheritance, she realized her ancient plans were nearing fruition.

With Tang San as the "son of soul beasts" soon to ascend as a god, and understanding his ambitious nature, she foresaw a future where soul beasts would reign eternal—even ruling the Divine Realm itself.

Meanwhile, Bear Lord had returned from Wuhun City, bearing injuries that hinted at an ill-fated negotiation. Given Bibi Dong's ambition and dominance—having unified the Douluo Continent—she would never tolerate a threat from the soul beasts.

Bear Lord's unrefined and forceful approach had almost provoked a fight with the Wuhun Empire. Had he been less powerful or slower, he likely wouldn't have escaped. Perhaps if Di Tian had sent a more strategic emissary, Wuhun Empire might have released the Three-Eyed Golden Lion in exchange for some concessions. However, Di Tian's choice of Bear Lord—a headstrong brute—had turned the negotiation into a near brawl.

Upon hearing Bear Lord's report, Di Tian flew into a rage. The Three-Eyed Golden Lion was critical to the soul beast race, and he was prepared to wage a beast tide to retrieve it.

In Wuhun City, Bibi Dong gazed at the imprisoned Three-Eyed Golden Lion, her eyes flickering with an unusual glow as she came to a decision. When she returned to the secret domain of the Rakshasa God, her patron grew uncharacteristically engaged.

"My successor, what's holding you back? The Three-Eyed Golden Lion may be young and somewhat weak, but it offers a tremendous fortune," the Rakshasa God intoned.

Bibi Dong's face grew dark. "Rakshasa God, is the Three-Eyed Golden Lion truly that significant? I can feel my martial spirit and divine power reacting to it."

The Rakshasa God smiled faintly. "All beings are bound by destiny, which is the most elusive force of all. The lion's third eye, known as the 'Eye of Destiny,' grants unique spiritual powers. Since you've always sought to change your fate, perhaps this creature could give you that power."

Bibi Dong's heart skipped a beat; the Three-Eyed Golden Lion was far more extraordinary than she had imagined. If she could harness its power, her strength could reach unprecedented heights. She was already at the pinnacle of Rank 99, her second martial spirit equipped with eight soul rings. All she lacked was a divine inheritance.

While she had hoped to find a suitable hundred-thousand-year soul beast or fierce beast for her final ring, the lion's miraculous aura tempted her. However, with Bear Lord's recent visit, it was clear the soul beasts valued the creature highly, and its death could provoke a catastrophe.

After a moment of hesitation, Bibi Dong's resolve darkened. Filled with malice, she made her decision: she killed the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, absorbing its extraordinary soul ring.

Upon sensing the lion's death, Di Tian's anger grew. The Wuhun Empire's disregard for his warnings was an affront beyond forgiveness.

Seething with rage, Di Tian turned to Tang San. "Tang San, can I trust you?"

Tang San's face twisted into a sinister grin. "You know me better than anyone. My clan was slaughtered by the Wuhun Empire, and they murdered my parents. I won't rest until they are wiped out."

Di Tian, still wary, asked, "And what do you think I should do? Should we avenge the Three-Eyed Golden Lion?"

Tang San sneered. "Di Tian, stop testing me. My advice is simple: unleash a beast tide and destroy Wuhun City—the symbol of the Wuhun Empire. In doing so, I'll have my revenge as well."

Di Tian's eyes gleamed with malice at the mention of a beast tide. "But you're human. Launching a beast tide would pit humans against soul beasts in an unprecedented conflict. It would be difficult to end such a war."

Tang San shook his head. "While I am human, the Wuhun Empire does not represent humanity. In fact, their cruelty and tyranny have wiped out the upper sects and the two empires, slaughtering countless soul masters. The beast tide would merely be their retribution."

Di Tian remained torn. "The Wuhun Empire now controls the entire Douluo Continent, with millions of soldiers at their command. Even with our numbers, the soul beasts might not be able to overcome them."

At that, dark energy surged around Tang San, and his eyes turned completely black, exuding a pressure even Di Tian found oppressive. His words stunned Di Tian.

"It's simple. Right now, the Wuhun Empire's soul masters and titled Douluos are scattered, and their armies are stationed in distant cities like Vast Sea City, the original Heaven Dou City, and Star Luo City. This is the perfect time to strike Wuhun City."

"If you allow Bibi Dong to fully consolidate her forces, she may strike against the soul beasts first. Bibi Dong is cruel, ambitious, and won't tolerate interference. You have become a thorn in her side."

Di Tian pondered for a moment. "How should we proceed? It's not feasible to march directly on Wuhun City."

Tang San chuckled. "It's actually quite simple. My Speed Clan holds a grudge against the Wuhun Empire, and they're unrivaled in agility. They can sever Wuhun Empire's lines of communication, while you lead the soul beast army along mountain paths, avoiding major roads and cities to launch a surprise attack on Wuhun City."

"Humans can't easily cross rugged terrain, but soul beasts are at home in forests and mountains. You could also deploy smaller groups of soul beasts to attack nearby cities as a diversion, ensuring your main force reaches Wuhun City. With only its current defenses, even Bibi Dong would be powerless against you."
