Chapter 182 - Verge of discovery

When Michael first created Mithril, he had nothing to draw inspiration from other than his own experience as a Mystical Arts user. He infused mana into the Damascus steel in the same manner he stored mana within his cores: by condensing his mana core to the smallest possible form so that drawing mana from it would result in a far stronger release of energy in the spell, increasing its potency and explosiveness.

As a result of this, when a Fire mage used a Mithril Artifact—say, a wand infused with pure Fire mana—he would realize that the potency of his fire spells had increased by almost thirty percent.

However, this approach came with a major drawback. The user couldn't wield any other Mithril Artifact, or else it would interfere with the effects of the first Artifact.
