As the night deepened, the whole of Duke's castle lit up like a beacon against Angora's skyline. It seemed that the Duke pulled out all the stops and hired several wizards to create light fixtures and illuminate the grounds with magical lights, transforming the castle into a marvel. For the city's citizens, it was a magical evening—but for the Rebornians, it was nothing more than a normal and quite substandard view.
The drawbridge remained down the whole night, welcoming a parade of gold-laced carriages and magnificent horses which carried the castle's guests.
Each one that entered the castle garnered a few gasps of surprise from the curious citizens gathered near the castle walls.
"Who do you think got invited to this ball?" one of the spectators asked.
"It's probably those Wizards from the Tower and the Knights from the Court," another guessed.
Just then, a grand carriage rolled across the bridge, its emblem catching someone's eyes.
