Ever since the Golden Road project began, Michael noticed that many of the Rebornian engineers and the construction workers ended up feeling disheartened and drained at the end of the day.
After all, their routine had become monotonous—wake up, go to work, pour concrete, flatten roads, wait for it to dry and repeat the same. There wasn't much to look forward to.
Michael had overlooked a critical fact: this was a world that didn't have any sort of entertainment for people to enjoy. They didn't have television shows, anime, or even cell phones.
To fix this growing boredom they were having, he launched a social project in which he would introduce a wide range of board games to see which ones the workers would enjoy the most.
Snakes and Ladders, in particular, quickly became a favorite among the Rebornian construction crew. They played the game during lunch breaks and after their day off.
