The sword cut through Michael's neck cleanly, decapitating him. His head soon turned into wisps of prismatic drops, revealing Michael's figure to be a clone.
"Tsk," the Ersatz assassin cursed. A prismatic beam shot through his shoulder, shattering the Nascent Spirit armor like it was a crystal. "URGH!"
Blood spurted out of the Ersatz assassin's shoulder, before a black goo emerged out of his armor and patched up the injury within seconds. "Who… who are you?"
Michael shrugged. "I'm just a friendly, neighborhood company owner."
The Ersatz assassin charged towards Michael, swinging his sword with great force and speed. He didn't care if his form was bad. He only wanted to cut through his opponent with ease.
But Michael was slippery. Golden nanoparticles appeared around his body, forming a tight-fitting golden armor that seemed to move and flow as if it was made out of liquid gold.
