Chapter 292 - A Peaceful Morning

Claire woke up surprisingly relaxed. The pain from yesterday was barely noticeable, the soreness almost gone, and it felt like her strength was back. She felt Jasmine stirring beside her, so Claire tightened her grip. She didn't want the assassin to leave her bed or move farther away.

"Good morning," Jasmine whispered. She shuffled against Claire's grip, turning to face her. She felt her nude body press into Claire's nude body. "You feel stronger than yesterday…"

"I feel better," Claire said, rubbing her face against Jasmine's shoulder. She couldn't help but rub her morning wood against Jasmine too. "All my lust is back too."

"I see that," Jasmine giggled softly. She gripped Claire's cock, causing the redhead to moan softly. "That means you're recovering…"

"Mhmm." Claire's breathing got faster as she pumped her hips. Jasmine's hand felt too good not to. "I might be able to walk on my own today."

"Shame." Jasmine bit her lip. "I enjoyed having you lean on me."

"We still can." Claire's breath hitched as she began to lose herself to pleasure.

"Too bad." Jasmine kissed her cheek. "Someone's coming. We'll continue later…"

"Awww," Claire stopped. She pulled her in closer, and the two acted as normally as possible. They glanced at the door, expecting Claire's mothers. However, Ursa and Lily hobbled through the door. Lily's walk was sore and rigid, while Ursa supported her.

To say they looked disheveled would be an understatement. Lily's hair was messy and sticking up all over. She wasn't wearing her glasses and was squinting, while Ursa was in a similar state. Lily didn't even hesitate to flop on Claire's bed and quickly go under the covers. Ursa helped her, then joined the overcrowded bed.

Claire felt Ursa behind her, while Lily cuddled up to Jasmine. It took a moment for Lily to realize it was Jasmine. But she was far too tired to care about their petty beef at this moment. She nestled into Jasmine's nude back. "We'll talk later."

"Deal," Jasmine said in a more serious tone.

"About?" Claire butted into their conversation.

"How bad of a friend I am," Jasmine joked back.

"No! It's not that." Lily shook her head. "Ugh, I just felt bad for snapping at you."

"I get it, Lily." Jasmine snuggled into her. "Not the easiest to deal with."

"No, you aren't," Lily admitted. "But I shouldn't have been so mean."

"Aww," Claire couldn't help but comment.

"I forgave you immediately." Jasmine ignored Claire and replied to Lily. "Can we be friends again?"

"Yes, please," Lily nuzzled into her shoulder. "Now please. I need to sleep."

"Oh yeah? Ursa kept you up all night?" Jasmine giggled. Claire could feel her cock throb against hers. "We could hear you from outside."

"Yes." Lily shuddered. "Fuck, I had Ursa carry me here. Could barely walk."

Claire turned to face Ursa, who had a slight blush on her face. "Good girl. She needed that."

Ursa's smile grew, and Claire could feel her grind against her. She was impressed that Ursa could keep going after that whole night. "I needed it too. It'd been too long for me too."

"Mmm, I may need some too," Claire whispered to her. However, there was a bit of hesitancy in Ursa's eyes. She wanted it desperately, but didn't know if even she had the stamina to go again. "Later. We'll relax for now…"

There was a bit of relief in Ursa's expression as she nodded. Claire then turned back to Jasmine and Lily, who were both drifting back to sleep. She kissed Jasmine's forehead, then snuggled into Ursa to join them. She missed these lazy mornings so much.

It took another 4 hours for them to leave that bed. They awoke more rested than before, but still quite groggy. Unbeknownst to them, so had Claire's mothers. They had their own special night of holding one another as Jane recounted her conversation with Toni and Hannah. So it was surprising for Claire to find her parents still lazing in bed, rather than doing their daily chores.

She let them rest as she decided to help them out today. She started on their chores for them. With the help of Jasmine and a slower-than-normal Lily, they cleaned and prepared a delayed breakfast for the bunch. All while Ursa focused on Jane's daily chores, or at least the ones she knew how to do. She'd leave milking and feeding the animals to Claire.

They got into a quiet, peaceful rhythm as Lily focused on cooking. Jasmine and Claire bounced between chores, cleaning, scrubbing, and maintaining the daily upkeep of the house. It gave them a glimpse of the life they could have after the fighting. The daily peace of cleaning and cooking. The missed uneventfulness of civilian life.

It was odd how her wants had changed after experiencing the adventurer life. Claire couldn't wait to get out there and fight. Travel for days on end all over the country, meeting all new people and places. But after a truly hectic first two months, she could feel herself craving the peaceful life once more. However, it's a life she'd have to wait a very long time for. Her Goddess needed her.

Still, it was a nice little surprise for her mothers in the morning. They awoke to a cleaned house and warm food. The look on their faces brought a special sort of joy to Claire. Especially when Jane saw that her farm chores were done for the day.

"Thank you!" Jane hugged Ursa after discovering just how much she was able to do that morning. Ursa was stiff as a rock as Jane hugged her, too afraid to move. It made Claire giggle to see. "That would have taken me the rest of the week to move."

"I helped too!" Claire chimed in. Jane turned to her and gave her a big smile. "Just a little; it was mostly Ursa."

"Guess I get a day off today. Maybe Eve will want to go to the lake today." Jane rubbed her chin. "Though we may want to spend time with you."

"We can do that tomorrow," Claire said, smiling at her. She reached over and petted Ursa's head. "I have to discuss some things with my party."

Jane tilted her head. Then she let out a whistle. Their sheepdog came barreling towards her, wagging its tail. She bent down and petted his head. "Good boy, Oscar." She whispered before glancing back at Ursa. She glanced between the two for a moment before shaking her head. Claire was barely holding her laugh back. Jane had made the same connection she had. Good thing Ursa was too distracted by the petting to notice.

"Fine," Jane sighed and got to her feet. She ignored Oscar jumping up at her and begging for more. "We'll go to the lake. Have fun with your… well, I guess they are your girlfriends. And boyfriend…?"

Claire bit the inside of her mouth. It would get exceedingly easier to explain soon. "Companions is a good word. Um, I know it's weird what we do."

Jane shrugged. "Whatever makes you happy, dear. And as long as they're happy."

"We are," Ursa mumbled without thinking. She was too busy leaning into Claire, scratching the back of her ear.

Jane paused for a moment. "I see that." She then let out a deep exhale. "I have my hands full with one woman, Claire. I have no idea how you handle seven."

"Eight." Ursa furrowed her brow. "Right? Samira…"

"Another one?!" Jane blinked, bewildered. "Where is she? Why haven't we met her?"

"Ursa." Claire took a more commanding tone. "Mom, she's a lot more complicated than Hannah or Toni. You'll understand when you meet her, but please, do not go looking for her. I'd rather not cause a panic."

Jane opened her mouth for a moment, but stopped. She held up her hands and shook her head. "Again. I have my hands full with one wife. I could not handle the complexities of all this. I don't even know if I could deal with a grandson of a noblewoman alone."

Claire relaxed for a moment. "Thank you, Mom. She's a very nice lady, though."

"I trust your judgement." Jane finally paid attention to Oscar, who'd started to whine. She bent over to scratch his head. "I look forward to meeting her, I guess."

"She is a nice lady," Ursa confirmed, causing Claire to roll her eyes and stop petting her.

"I'd hope so." Jane sighed as she tried to wrap her head around 8 whole lovers.

With that, Jane headed back towards the house with a lot to think about. Claire turned to Ursa and shook her head. "We were keeping Samira a secret, remember?"

"Sorry." Ursa dipped her head. "I got too relaxed."

"Whatever." Claire smiled and lifted her head up by the chin. "Let's go grab Jasmine and Lily. I would love to visit Samira myself."

Once Claire gathered all three of her companions, they set off for the church.
