[Safely deliver Hinata Hyuga to the Leaf Village: +10,000 SP]
[Enemy defeated: +200 SP] x2
[Current SP: +10,400]
Would you look at that?
Having been knocked out, my mind immediately brought me to my mindscape, which Ena was trained to do before I arrived as a way to control himself during his transformation. I could still feel my body was being treated delicately in the outside world and could force myself back to consciousness if I tried, but I wanted to bide my time for now. There was nothing I could do to Jonin and ANBU anyway, so there was no point in causing a fuss.
Besides, with the addition of the points I got from saving Hinata and defeating those two, I could always buy something that would help me escape bindings or [Fuin-Jutsu] placed on my body like Root. Enough important people had seen my face too, so there was even less of a chance that would be the case for now, but with Haruzen's bitch-ass, I couldn't be sure he would actually keep his old friend away from me.
So, with that in mind, I decided to walk around the library-designed mindscape, going over my memories again, trying to see if I could gleam some [Justu] from the Bushi clan similar to the bomb my mother used, only to continuously come up short.
The points I received were a bit much just for saving one girl, but when thinking about the fact that I may have just prevented a war, I couldn't help but feel cheated. Especially considering I was dumped into such an unfavourable position from the get-go without really getting a chance to get accustomed to the world.
Putting a book of memories back on one of the shelves, I started to feel the presence of another entering my mindscape. So, appearing at the entrance, I decided to meet the intruder. Hopefully, the more time I spend near them, the more I will be able to figure out their [Jutsu]. It may or may not be illegal to steal clan [Jutsu] in the Leaf Village, but if they use said [Jutsu] to violate my mind, it would be their own fault for giving it to me on a silver platter.
Standing at the front doors was a middle-aged man with a surprised look on his face as he looked at the modern-looking building. His long, blonde hair that flowed down his back in a sleek, well-kept ponytail was more than enough to let me know he was a Yamanaka clan member. He wore the Leaf headband on his forehead along with the standard Jonin uniform—dark blue, long-sleeved shirt and shinobi pants, under the same sleeveless green flak jacket Hizashi wore before he decided to physically assault me.
"Ena, is it?" He said as he turned to face me, light green eyes locking onto mine.
I crossed my arms as I narrowed my eyes. "And you are?"
The man gave a slight bow. "Inoichi Yamanaka, head of the Yamanaka Clan and head of the Konoha Analysis Team."
I raised an eyebrow in thought. I knew they would use Yamanaka, but to have the clan head delve into my mind removes any chance to disavow the actions of a clan member. But I supposed the information I would have in my head would have been too important to hold back on anything. "And what exactly are you doing in my head, Inoichi Yamanaka?"
"I'm here to ensure you are not a threat to Konoha," Inoichi answered without a flinch.
I let out a humourless laugh as I leaned on the door frame. "A threat, huh? If I were a threat, don't you think I would've helped the Cloud Ninja instead of the Leaf Village….maybe delivered the girl to them a few days ago instead of going through the effort to bring her here? Or were my actions in that battle or over the last few days conveniently forgotten by your village?"
Inoichi's expression didn't waver, but his silence said enough. With a smirk, I shook my head lightly. "Drop the act. We both know you're not here just to make sure I'm not a threat, you would have been able to get all the information you needed from the girl. Why don't you tell me what you really want?"
Inoichi's eyes narrowed slightly, but his voice remained professional. "I already told you. Konoha does not take kindly to unknowns, especially in times like these. If you wish to remain in the village, we need to ensure you're not some kind of spy."
"Spy in your village?" I asked with a chuckle. "Seriously? And who said anything about remaining in your village? If I were a spy, don't you think I'd be a little more subtle than getting knocked out and dragged here by one of your ninjas .... after I had helped?"
For the first time, a flicker of emotion crossed Inoichi's face, but I couldn't quite pinpoint what it was as I pressed further. "Let me spell it out for you, Yamanaka. I didn't ask to be here. Your shinobi—I would assume Hizashi—decided to knock me out and haul me back to Konoha. If anyone's to blame for my presence here, it's your people. But instead of a 'thank you for saving one of our citizens', I am having my mind violated."
Inoichi's expression at least looked remorseful after hearing that. His shoulders sagged ever so slightly as he slowly clasped his hands behind his back. "That may be true, but the fact remains: you are here now, and it is my duty to determine if you pose a risk to our village. For what it's worth, I am sorry I have to do this to you. No one should have their privacy violated like this, especially after doing such a good deed."
I rolled my eyes in irritation. "Your duty, huh? You say that, but we both know you could have just left me in the woods to avoid any 'bringing a spy in the village'." I air quoted. "And as for obtaining information, you could have delved into the girl's mind, leaving me alone. But here you are."
Inoichi seemed to study me for a long moment before finally giving a small nod. "Will you resist?.... If you truly have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear from my investigation."
"You just talked about how no one should have their mind violated like this," I countered with a raised eyebrow. "Now you say I 'have nothing to fear'." I shook my head in exasperation. "I won't resist, but that doesn't mean I give you permission either. Just know, I'm not the one you need to worry about during your…investigation."
"Is that so?" Inoichi raised an eyebrow at my sincere warning. "Please elaborate."
"....No," I answered blandly.
With that, I stepped aside, letting the mind rapist through the doors of the library, ignoring the look he sent my way as he went through. Just because he was one of the good guys doesn't mean I had to like him… or save him from a large angry mind ape.

Hiruzen Sarutobi - Third Hokage
Hokage Tower - Meeting Room 3
[]|-[G]-[A]-[I]-[T]-[C]-|[]
"---and while we cannot confirm whether their envoy acted with or without state sanction, the fallout will lead to strained relations or worse. Given the current state of our political state post-Kyuubi attack, I recommend caution and focusing on minimising diplomatic escalation." The civilian Head of Foreign Relations concluded, griping a stack of neatly organised papers. His analysis was rewarded with a nod from the aged Hokage, who, along with his fellow Clan Heads, listened intently.
Meetings like this were more of a formality than anything during times of potential war, but it made the civilians feel heard and important, so his predecessor decreed it to be so. It didn't, however, make them any more excited to be part of said meetings.
Holding his pipe loosely in one hand, Hiruzen leaned back in his chair as his dark eyes studied the civilian while he processed the analysis before giving the man a small smile. "Thank you for your thorough analysis, Masato. Your insight will be invaluable in the coming days." Masato bowed. Just as Hiruzen prepared to move on, a sharp knock on the door broke the momentary silence. "Enter."
The door opened to reveal the only two members missing from the meeting stepping inside. Inoichi Yamanaka walked in and bowed first, professional as always, but his face seemed pale compared to a few hours ago, which immediately drew Hiruzen's attention. Behind him came Kaizen, the current head of Konoha's hospital, who seemed to be barely containing his glee as he tightened his hold on the file in his hand.
Hiruzen's sharp eyes flicked to his left, where Shikaku Nara sat deceptively lazily in his chair, seemingly uninterested—until he caught sight of Inoichi. The flicker of concern that crossed Shikaku's face mirrored Hiruzen's own thoughts. Something was clearly amiss with what was found in the boy's head, and the aged Kage could only hope it wasn't too bad.
Pushing those thoughts aside for the moment, Hiruzen straightened in his chair and gestured toward the civilians. "That will conclude this portion of the meeting. Your analysis will be discussed with the utmost diligence. Thank you for your time. I will now discuss matters with the Nara Clan head and the Head of the Analysis team regarding recent events. We may continue this after a small recess."
The civilian council members bowed deeply, murmuring their farewells before shuffling out of the room, while the Clan heads stood and did the same…bar Lord Shimura who seemed to linger at the door to give Hiruzen a look, which went ignored, before heading out. As the door clicked shut behind them, the atmosphere shifted subtly. Inoichi and Kaizen stepped forward, both nodding respectfully. "Lord Hokage," they greeted in unison.
"Inoichi, Kaizen," Hiruzen acknowledged with a nod of his own. His eyes lingered on Inoichi for just a moment longer before he motioned for them to proceed. Inoichi moved to take his seat beside Shikaku, whose expression had already shifted into something more serious. Kaizen, however, remained standing with his hands still holding onto his files for dear life. Hiruzen leaned forward slightly with his fingers steepling in front of him as he spoke. "Proceed, Kaizen."
With a nod from the Hokage, Kaizen began his report, not even needing to open his file to read his finds, having read and re-read his notes due to sheer disbelief. "The individual, Ena Narabushi, had no injuries and was stable when brought in. His chakra reserves are impressive for his age—estimated to be around Chunin. However, his physique is what truly baffles me."
Already expecting the conversation to head in this direction, having briefly seen the boy when he was brought to the village, the aged Hokage nodded for the man to continue, to which he complied. "Starting with the most obvious thing, he has a tail he seemed to have been born with, which is the same length as his height, 130 centimetres. Said tail seems to have some cells not found in normal human bodies which we have yet to find any use for in the child's body."
"Testing of said cells is awaiting Clan permission, of course," Kaizen added with a look toward the Nara Clan head before he continued. "The rest of his body naturally seems to be around nine to ten times that of average children his age based on muscle mass, meaning if he were to never train a day in his life and we were to put him next to another child who also never trained, Mr Narabushu would be ten times stronger. And I can say, our findings show he has been through rather brutal training."
Shikaku's brows knitted together ever so slightly as he interrupted. "How brutal are we talking?" He asked.
"No lasting damage, so they must have been taking good care of him in that regard." Kaizen tried to assuage his worries, only to give him other worries when he continued not a moment later. "But, I have seen similar signs of training when healing ANBU."
Though Hiruzen raised an eyebrow along with Shikaku, with the report he had already received from Inu regarding his observation of the boy's fight, Hiruzen wasn't too surprised at the training he must have gone through to achieve the results he did.
"His strength was sealed for his entire early life until a few days ago," Inoichi interrupted the Hokage's thoughts, causing the four inhabitants of the room to look his way. "He had to go through ANBU level training if said ANBU had no access to chakra."
There was a small pause as Shikaku brought a hand to his chin in thought, before Kaizen continued his report after receiving a look from the aged Hokage. "He also appears to have a high resistance to standard sedatives and most likely certain poisons and ailments as well. He also doesn't seem to have any chakra coils whatsoever."
"You said he had Chunin-level chakra earlier," Shikaku pointed out. Once again, Hiruzen wasn't too surprised, as Hatake had already indicated that he had seen the boy channelling [Chakra] while fighting the Cloud shinobi, even though Hizashi had seen no coils in his system.
"I did," Kaizen nodded. "But we double-checked our findings. He has Chakra and can use it, but no coils to speak of. We want to assume it has something to do with the cells in his tail, but with the cells remaining in the tail and potentially the spine, we are unable to verify that. We also assume it may have something to do with Fuin-Jutsu to prevent more invasive methods of medical information gathering or copying. However, that area of shinobi arts is not my expertise."
"Hmm. Thank you, Kaizen," The third Hokage said with a small nod as he leaned back in his chair, exchanging a glance with both Shikaku and Inoichi in case they had anything to add. With a small shake of both their heads, the aged Kage turned back to Kaizen. "Your efforts are appreciated. However, I must remind you that everything you've uncovered regarding this boy is an S-rank secret. Until instructed otherwise by myself, the boy in question, or his clan head, this information does not leave this room. Understood?"
Kaizen straightened his posture and inclined his head. "Understood, Lord Hokage."
Stepping forward with the boy's folder in hand, Kaizen went to hand it to the Hokage, only to notice his eyes flicker to Shikaku, whose sharp gaze had already shifted toward the document. The Hokage made a slight motion with his hand toward Nara Clan Head, indicating that Kaizen should pass the file to him. Kaizen hesitated only for a moment before moving to Shikaku and handing over the folder.
"There's one other detail of note, Lord Nara," Kaizen said, addressing Shikaku directly. "We've confirmed that the boy has Nara's blood."
Shikaku's brow furrowed as he accepted the file, nodding to the doctor before immediately flipping through its contents.
Kaizen turned back toward the Hokage and added, "Additionally, the DNA samples are ready for collection whenever you are ready to proceed." He then bowed respectfully before departing.
When Kaizen was gone, Hiruzen immediately turned to the Yamanaka Clan Head. "Inoichi, what exactly did you see in the boy's mind that had you looking….rattled?"
Inoichi's shoulders sagged slightly as he sighed. "It may have something to do with the potential Fuin-Jutsu Kaizen mentioned. As you know, it's not my speciality either, but the Bushi clan did some kind of ritual to protect his mind and body."
At this, Shikaku, who had been scanning the file, looked up sharply with a raised eyebrow. Hiruzen himself started caressing the hairs on his chin, expecting clarification.
"It's nothing bad," Inoichi assured, lifting a hand as if to ward off both their concern. Then he turned to Hiruzen. "It's not anything against the village either. The ritual, or what I assume was actually a seal, seems to have been a preventative measure—a safeguard to protect their clan secrets. They were preparing to teach the boy their techniques, but they never got the chance due to the Raikage's arrival."
Hiruzen's expression darkened at the mention of the Raikage's actions, but he pressed on. "Is there any chance they succeeded? Could they have taught the boy their secret techniques before they died?"
Inoichi shook his head, dashing away his Hokage's hopes. "Highly unlikely. Based on what I saw, the seal was placed hastily, around an hour or so before they were killed. Due to it being incomplete, not even his mother was comfortable teaching him the techniques until he was capable of properly protecting himself."
"What about the technique he used to summon weapons without storage scrolls or seals?"
"That is a technique he created himself after being declined education on seals and Jutsu until he had completed his non-chakra related education, sir." The Yamanaka Clan Head chuckled with a small shake of his head. "He may be mature for his age, but he also has a small rebellious side. When asked to teach the technique though, they found that, due to binge created by instinct, it was virtually impossible for others to learn."
Hiruzen nodded slowly, his brow furrowed as he considered the implications. "What, then, can we expect from the boy?"
Inoichi's gaze softened slightly as he answered. "You can expect someone who typically judges people by their deeds—or lack thereof—rather than their titles, blood or status. He doesn't appear to harbour any resentment toward the village or its people….aside from myself and Lord Hyuga's brother, but even that is light due to his maturity and understanding of our actions. I can confirm his ability to turn into a giant monkey/ape creature, as rumours went. He was headed to a place where he could practice when they found Lady Hyuga's captors."
"Can he?" Shikaku asked.
"I don't know," Lord Yamanaka shook his head. "But he seems sure he will be close to controlling it. They specifically do practice away from populated areas to avoid collateral damage, so we may need to make concessions should he join the village."
"He doesn't want to join the village?" Hiruzen asked with furrowed brows.
"He is currently undecided," Inoichi answered with a small, almost sad smile. "Although his father didn't speak too much of the Village, that would be concerning, due to the boy's own intuition, he knows his father left the village for a reason. And from some neutral comments about other villages and practices, he has already come to the conclusion that someone in a high position had taken children from orphanages against their will to become ninjas, with little surviving the training."
Hiruzen allowed himself a small sigh, knowing full well who and what that meant. If it weren't for his old friend trying to kill the Nara for trying to rescue one of the children that Danzo had taken, one that was a child of a close friend of his, then the Village wouldn't have lost such a promising shinobi. Said child had died…mysteriously after his rescue, but the aged Kage needed Root to remain active, so he didn't punish his old friend as he should have, losing the trust of one of Konoha's greatest minds.
"That isn't exactly ideal. At the very least, it seems he is not a threat to Konoha." Hiruzen said after a beat, turning his attention to Shikaku, whose focus had returned to the file in his hands. "Shikaku, it will be up to the Nara clan if you wish to take him in under clan law. However, as he is officially the head of his own clan—a designation signed off by his grandfather long before his death—it will ultimately be up to him to decide."
It wouldn't do the village, or even his relationship with the Nara Clan any good if he were to turn the boy away, especially after what happened to the boy's father, after all. Feeling the eyes meeting the side of his head when Inoichi brought up the boy's father was enough to know Shikaku wasn't really focusing on the file anymore. So best nip this in the bud now, unless he wants to deal with a focused Nara.
He may have had his hands tied with taking Naruto in due to how it would have unbalanced power in the village, but there was nothing anyone could say about actual blood relatives.
Shikaku closed the file slowly, allowing his sharp eyes to meet the Hokage's as he inclined his head slightly. "Understood, Lord Hokage. We wouldn't mind taking him in, even if it's not under clan law. He's family, after all. And the village will only benefit from having an additional Kekkei Genkai, especially after….recent events."
"You would be tasked with making sure there are no transformations within the Village unless given express permission to do so to protect it," Hiruzen ordered, pushing down the thought of that night as he received a nod from the Jonin commander. "I didn't see any seals on the boy when he was checked over, but I will get Jiraiya here to check him over just to be sure."

Konoha Hospital
Ena Narabushi
[]|-[G]-[A]-[I]-[T]-[C]-|[]
Turns out, I inherited Goku's ability to copy other people's techniques, because I now knew how to do the [Lightnig Blade] after only seeing it for the first time. I already knew the hand signs for it, but actually having the ability to do it was a whole other conversation. Now, I knew I wouldn't be able to do it as well as Kakashi by any means, seeing that I was lacking [Chakra] control and elemental manipulation, but the fact that I had this ability is a huge win on its own.
As for the mind technique Inoichi used, well, I learned that as well. It wasn't actual telepathy, and I would need to be in physical contact to do it, but it was a great addition to my list of Jutsu. Especially considering the world I'm in. Watching Inoichi almost mentally shit himself when he came into contact with the Ozaru when he delved too deep was a sweet bonus.
"Ena Narabushi." A deep and calm voice spoke next to my bed after I had stirred back to consciousness.
Much like the shinobi Hizashi fought, I didn't sense him there.
Opening my eyes, I turned toward the source of the voice, only to be met by the white-robed Shinobi No Kami himself. He was casually sitting in a chair with a smoking pipe resting comfortably between his fingers.
"Third Hokage," I answered blandly. "I would have appreciated not having my mind violated."
Hiruzen Sarutobi regarded me with a calm expression. While his weathered face betrayed neither irritation nor amusement, he took a slow puff from his pipe as he replied evenly, "The village's security precautions are taken very seriously."
"Security precautions, huh?" I muttered as I rolled my shoulders and started flexing my fingers, tightening my tail across my waist and wiggling my toes under the blanket just to be sure. "I was knocked out and brought to the village after helping it. The least you could have done was give me a choice when you found me."
The old man, clearly unbothered by my words, took another puff of his pipe as he turned his gaze to the window, where the late afternoon light streamed in. Silence stretched between them for several moments before Hiruzen finally spoke. "I'm sorry for your loss." He said clinically. "Clan Nara has expressed their willingness to take you in. But you must ensure that you do not turn into your…. monkey form without express permission from either Shikaku Nara or myself."
I blinked. "Where will I be taken tonight?" I asked, not knowing why he said it like that. I assumed they knew it was going to happen during the full moon.
Hiruzen, his eyes still focused on the horizon outside the window, repeated his earlier statement. "The Nara Clan will be willing to take you in."
"I heard you the first time. I was asking about my transformation tonight." I shot back, which caught Hiruzen's attention. The elderly leader's brow furrowed slightly as he turned his gaze back to focus on me. "You do realise it's currently linked to the full moon, right?" I pointed out, watching as surprise bled into his expression. "Which happens to be tomorrow night. Until I can control it, it will happen every full moon."
"Your security measures almost got people killed," I continued blandly, knocking off the little surprise on the old man's face as it returned to being just as bland as my own. "The preventative measures my family put in place must have ensured the mind violator didn't learn that part, I suppose. Let me guess, you took my blood and realised you could quite pinpoint my Kekkei Genkai for the transformation?"
Hiruzen responded with a faint hum as he once again took a puff from the pipe, leaning back in his chair. "I see. Is there anything else I will need to know to prevent people's deaths?"
"Well, if I can't control it you should know that I'll be around fifty feet tall. So your precautions should be ready for that."
"And how likely are you to control it then?" He asked.
"Very. But I would appreciate being taken to somewhere remote, regardless." I replied, pulling my knee to my chest to stretch my glutes and hamstrings.
With the willpower of someone trained by Batman and the League of Shadows, I was almost sure I had the transformation in the bag.
"I thank you for being forthcoming with that information." The old man said as he made his way to his feet with the customary old guy grunt, before walking toward the door. "I will have you relocated to a remote location by some of my shinobi." Stopping at the door, he turned to look me directly in the eyes. "Should you turn toward the Village after your transformation, you will be attacked with extreme prejudice."
Yeah, clearly, they really wanted me to stay. Considering the deaths caused by the recent war and the Kyubi attack, I would want me to stay, too. I guess they're going for the 'if he can control it, then good. If not, then we kill him and make sure no one else can get their hands on him.' He didn't even ask if I wanted to stay.
"Once again," I said in an almost bored tone, not backing down from his gaze. "You brought me here."
He looked at me for a long moment without a response. Then turned and left the room, only for Shikaku Nara to walk in right after.

Greetings
Anyone notice how old man Hiruzen lowkey tried to steal clan secrets there?
There won't be outright hate for the man in this fic I don't think, but he makes it easy. Not as easy as Danzo, but easy nonetheless.
