Aida also looked over, eager to know if the rumors were true.
They'd heard all sorts of stories, but as recent graduates, they had no way of knowing what was fact and what was fiction.
One had spent most of their time training with their clan, while the other was a civilian with no access to insider information.
How pathetic-they couldn't even figure out whether these things were true.
Ryoji lifted his chin and smirked.
"Of course it's true. Captain Xin activated his three-tomoe Sharingan ages ago. He even
used genjutsu to humiliate a Jonin from the Shimura clan right in the Hokage's office. The guy was stuck in the hospital for over half a month afterward.
So, I'd suggest you both avoid provoking him."
Look who's talking, Aida thought, rolling his eyes. You're the one who's always acting out.
But he didn't bother saying it out loud. Knowing Ryoji, it would only lead to another argument.
Suzune frowned, her brows furrowed in thought.
She was trying to figure out how much of Ryoji's story was true.
She had heard some rumors about Xin, but they weren't widely circulated among the
Hyuga clan. The main family didn't pay much attention to these stories, thinking they were just Uchiha boasting.
Since Xin had Uchiha blood, the Hyuga clan automatically associated him with the Uchiha, and they didn't take him seriously.
With the Hyuga clan's strict and almost oppressive family rules, Suzune barely had time to socialize, let alone gossip about anything.
If you look throughout the history of the ninja world, you'll notice that the Hyuga clan has always acted like frogs in a well, seeing only a tiny part of the world.
"You three, grab your tools and get to work. Before nightfall, I want this entire field dug up. Don't forget to clear the rocks and weeds-if you don't, the mission won't be considered complete," Xin instructed as he handed tools to the three students after finishing his discussion with the client.
"Dig the field?"
