Princess Arlene's pupils had also dilated slightly under the pressure of the serpent's vicious aura, and even she could not completely suppress the instinctive fear that arose from facing such a hideous and terrifying existence, whose presence alone felt suffocating and oppressive.
However, she did not allow even a trace of that fear to show on her face.
Her expression remained calm and composed, her posture steady as she continued to observe the situation with sharp and calculating eyes, while her gaze shifted subtly toward the tall, armored knight standing beside her, finally understanding with complete clarity why her father had insisted on sending this man along with her on this expedition.
He was not simply a guard, but was her shield, which would keep her safe from the jaws of death.
