When he came to, Avery first felt a dull pain in his head.
It was incomparable to what he had been experiencing before passing out, but it did serve as a reminder of what had happened to him.
As his eyes fluttered open, he saw the glass of a sealed medical pod in front of him.
There was an IV sticking out of his left arm that was providing both fluids and medicine to him.
"Display vitals."
At Avery's command, the glass in front of him turned into a screen that showed his body's current condition.
Things such as his heartrate, blood pressure, cell production, and respiration rate were all within normal bounds based off of past measurements and expected norms for his body. Though his brain activity was currently a bit lower than usual.
It was not anything particularly disconcerting from what he could tell, but when he moved to pull up that data from when he was first put into the pod, his eyes went wide from shock.
