Griiiiing!
The metallic sharp sound of the jail cell locking echoed through the long hall of similar cells as I ponder at my current predicament.
After a steady moment, I finally gather all my thoughts to a single word.
"Huh"
That was all.
I look at the surprisingly sufficient space of the cell and nod.
The place wasn't bad, it had a large space, an okay bed, a small toilet in its own separate place and a bookshelf filled with books that I would like to experience after decades of not touching one.
For a dungeon of prison cells, the smell wasn't bad here, you'd get used to it after a day or two. All this place needs now is a bit of light for some light/heavy book reading.
Sh- Shing!
I look up at the bulb that lit up after two blinks. It was stringed up with a long cable on the ceiling. It didn't give much light, nor was it dark too, just enough to warm the eyes.
